Pepper's Mexican Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Halstead

I really love this place. It has been here for several years under different names. I was a little disappointed the other day, though whenever I ordered flautas. Someone needs to tell the cook that the word flautas means flute. These look nothing like flutes…. they weren’t long and thin, and they weren’t deep-fried like they were supposed to be so this was a Big flauta fail.

Usually I love this place, yesterday though had a bad experience. Our daughters concert got out and we went to get a quick bite to eat someplace close we chose peppers and came in around 8:15 not realizing they close at 8:30 (we thought they closed at 9). First thing the waiter says to us and quite rudely was just letting you guys know we close at 8:30, and walks off. Customer service was non existent.
