I have been a fan of Paul & Eddy's for quite some time. It is our go to pizza delivery in Hamden, through the Slice app. But last night...was BAD. Ordered and paid (as we always do) via Slice at 5:30PM. App showed 6:20PM delivery. About right. 7:10PM, pizza still not here. Contacted Slice customer support, via their app, they stated the shop wasn't answering the phone. 10 minutes later (7:20PM, one hour later than stated, and almost TWO hours since ordering), our 2 pizzas arrived. Those pizzas were barely (and I mean BARELY) warm, room temp at best. Both crusts were completely charred - BLACK, all the way around. (I am a fan of an overdone crust, but this wasn't over done, this was BURNT.) And because they were more cold than hot, VERY chewy, and not at all enjoyable. The large mozzarella cheese, half sausage - barely any cheese on it, and a light sprinkling of sausage, maybe a dozen or so small sausage crumbles. Very disappointing. My wife and son both stated, we may have to try other local pizza places in Slice...
Read moreThis place is going downhill fast and it's really sad. Paul & eddy's used to be the best pizza in Hamden, even comparable to some of new havens top spots. Over the last year however the management, service and order accuracy has become unbelievablly bad. 4 out my last 5 delivery orders were made wrong , and when I call for a replacement to be sent out some worker calls me back to tell me that I'd now Ihave to wait well over an hour to get any food. They basically take revenge on their customers for calling them on the mistakes that THEY make. This has happened multiple times. I truly don't believe they care about their customers any more. The problem is purely with the pizza makers and management who perpetuate this. Every person who's taken my order on the phone or who has delivered to my house has been courteous and professional. The rest should be ashamed of themselves for driving a once great pizza spot...
Read moreSo today March 28th 2022 I ordered pizza from paul and Eddie’s because we got a flyer in the mail saying they were celebrating thirty years, we waited 45 minutes for a large Hawaiian pizza and the first time it was burnt and so hard you could go knocking on doors with it the when we called and asked if the pizza was meant to be like that they said no and they apologized and said they were going to send a new one we waited another 20 minutes and it was worse than the first one and then when we called again to ask if they were playing a joke or something they said the first one was not burnt and so the second one wasn’t either, this was so frustrating and annoying and the level of ignorance they had was insane I can’t believe they’ve been in business for 30 years with that customer service and that food never ordering again.
