Thought we would give this a try for a change instead of the same places over again. We were immediately greeted with a bit of annoyed staff as we didnt realize reservations were a thing there (luckily they took us, so we thought no biggie our fault for not checking). Food came out in a timely manner as did drinks. However, the prime rib and rice on one plate was cold. Barely any fries on the plate for the side for our other meal. Thankfully, we arent huge bread fans. The menu shows each meal comes with bread, we received only 1 piece of bread to split. Also, watched the guy cooking on the grill never once wash his hand, especially in-between touching fish and steak (gross). We were informed dessert choices for a birthday could either be a cheesecake, or half off mudpie. Hubby decided that was a really good deal for pie that big. Asked for it to go and the waitress got annoyed it seemed since she asked if we were really gonna "make her squeeze that into a box" followed by a large sigh. When we went to pay, I asked why that dessert originally $15 was $12 not 7.50 (half off) she made a pretty big scene in front of everyone how she 'corrected me at our table that it was only a discount not half!!!' At this point she had to calculate the difference real fast and said 'so only $3 or $4 like i said discount not half!!!' Embarrassed by her shouting about it in front of a large group behind me, and claiming she corrected me (even though she did not) --- rather than just apologizing for the confusion-- I just agreed with her and hurried to leave. Husband even heard her say half off the first time, and never once "corrected" me. Definitely will continue our business at Lolo steakhouse instead. Much nicer and food is cooked.
In response to owner: Not looking for any money. It was only a few bucks. It was moreso the attitude of the waitress over a small misunderstanding and the accusations when she did indeed misspeak. This could had been handled professionally. And the food being cold was disappointing. My husband wanted to complain but he didnt want to inconvenience anyone as it was busy and we didnt want to hold up those that made reservations. As for hand sanitizer, that's still gross and not the same as washing hands. Thanks for the apology but speaking with staff on professionalism and food temps hopefully will help for future customers to have a better experience...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would. We traveled from Arlee and Frenchtown to go to the Victor Steakhouse. Our little friend group was excited for a great meal and drinks. We arrived at 6:45 for 7 o’clock reservation. We were immediately seated and after about 15 minutes. We got our drink order. Most of our drinks came OK but some were messed up. after 15-20 minutes of us, sitting there, the waitress came and told us that she had a few things to take care of before she would be with us. after about a half and hour more our order was taken. We did not receive our appetizers for at least 20/30minutes. Half of our appetizers were still frozen. They took them back cook them to the point where they were burnt after 8 o’clock we asked how long until we receive our salads. We were informed they would be out soon. My salad came with so much ranch dressing on it. It was like a soup don’t get me wrong. I like ranch but not so much that it’s dripping off of the salad. At about 8:30 we asked when we would Receive our food and we were told soon. Meanwhile, we have watched three full tables one being a party of seven that came in after us received their whole meal, food Bill and leave. We spoke with our waitress about it numerous times and that we were getting frustrated. At one point we were wanting to leave but we are assured the food would be worth the wait. My medium rare steak was still frozen, My husbands steak was barely cooked at all, Half of us did not receive our potato And my friends burger she ordered was still raw on the inside, and the cheese was not melted not to mention the bun that was burnt on the inside. They said they would compensate us 20% For an apology. After informing them that our food was horrible they took some of them off of our bill. We were hardly able to eat any of our food and yet we still walked out paying 250+ dollars. we asked to speak with a manager but was informed there was not one. We were left to feel like an inconvenience by the people that were there working. We left our information for the owners to call us back and no one has called us, our experience was the worst one we’ve ever had and I will never go back. Not to mention, the restaurant was super empty, maybe 10 tables which if you’ve been there, you know is not very many Compared to what they...
Read moreWhere should I start ,, with the fact all 4 of us ordered baked potatoes and 10 mins later the waitress comes back and says we only have 1 left , so 3 of you will have to get something else ,, ok not a problem I’ll have the onion rings,, only for the waitress to come back another 10 minutes later and say that 1 baked potato got served to someone else and we’re out of onion rings ,. Ok can I have a bowl of soup since there’s no baked potato, no onion rings and I didn’t want vegetables or fries with my 30 dollar steak the waitress says sorry were out of soup,,., ok the complaint here is how are you out of 3 common things on the menu on a Friday night at 815,,, 3 of us ordered 16 oz steaks only for us each to receive 2 steaks each on our plate that were 12 n 4 oz or 10 n 6 oz combination with that said because they were out of 16 oz ,, the only problem is one was over cooked to extra well done while the other was well way off from medium,, this is the 4th time I’ve been there either with my wife or with a party and the last 2 times I said I’d never come back but my friend talked me into this time ,,, and even regrets it this time ,.. the owner was defensive to my complaint as I am feeling ripped off for paying 2 bills for a subpar dinner that was no better the the coffee cup or Bjs ,,. She blamed covid for the lack of good help and service and it being Friday night oh ok you say your the owner last I checked there’s 51 other Friday’s in year and your not prepared for this one Let me tell you something the last 2 times thus place was in the dumpster and that was prior to covid, What this boils down to is poor restaurant management/ ownership,, and not accepting responsibility inability to run a business by hiring a true restaurant manager,, I highly don’t recommend this place unless your seeking disappointment and a empty wallet ,,. We’ll go back after the inevitable happens it folds and new owners take over but not til then,, on Facebook the restaurant has a 5 star rating, don’t be fooled by the sympathy likes and the inflated great dinner ratings that were given by Facebook friends of the owners or family friends ,, how do I know this because I own a business and reside in the community also and know...
