Ajua El Sabor De México — Restaurant in Hampton

Decent atomosphere, newly opened and good food, but service sucks. Had a wait to be seated even tho tables were clearly open, then we were asked if we were checking out, after we said we were waiting to be seated we were ignored for another 15 minutes. First they brought me a flat drink after she brought drinks and food, after that she never came to check on us. We had to call her down as she was walking past us for her to even acknowledge that we were there. Had to call her down 3 times to get a refill, with both our glasses empty and after the third time she came back and said "You wanted napkins right?" . That was for our first refill. The second time around I asked for a to go plate and refill (this is after we were there for 2 hours without her once stopping to see if we were okay on her own) we were completely ignored. Finally another waitress overheard us saying how frustrated we were and asked what she could do and finally I got my second refill. Then I ordered a order to go and had to wait an additional 2 hours for it. During the entire 4 hours we were there we witness countless people having to call down their waitress just to be acknowledged. Like I said the foods great but this place won't be in business long if they don't find good help instead of lazy ones, because only one waitress was actually doing her job. It's not worth the money we paid for it, from now on I'll make the extra drive to go to Juan y los tres in walterboro, they are so much better with prices, food, and service and they have a bigger selection of food and...

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this couldn't be avoided. The service was abominable. The waitress was conducting personal business with a woman and her children coordinating play dates, bbqs and business ventures and opportunities, ignoring me completely for more than 20 minutes. I should have walked out then, but didn't. She was rude and dismissive when I ordered and seemed annoyed when I paid cash. She also overcharged me by $8. After ordering I waited for 37 minutes for my food before the manager asked what I was waiting for, and another 13 minutes after that. I was so not happy, but just got my food and left. The food was inedible. No flavor, tasted as though it was soaked in canned tomato sauce. No spices used at all. The tortilla for the taco was mush and the cheese in the enchilada was hard, I couldn't even cut it with a fork. I threw it all in the trash. I cannot recommend this place. I do recommend that they hire a new cook and all new staff. Either way I will not...

I really enjoyed the food and service here, it's a new restaurant so I checked the reviews before arriving. I seen a couple reviews about poor service and long time to be seated, the service was excellent very attentive. I noticed though that some of the complaints about not being seated quickly comes from a situation where the front door is in a secluded spot and it's really easy for a customer to walk in and not be seen or heard right away. They seated people very quickly once they realize folks were at the door, I'm sure as this being a new business they will work all the bugs out.
