This is a great restaurant and brewery (they no longer brew beers on premises though) that gets pretty crowded during lunchtime on weekends. We got here around 12:30pm and beat the rush and we were very happy to get a booth by the window to look out at the snowy mountain. The chili bowl was delicious and we ordered additional jalapeños, diced onions, and a bowl of tortilla chips to kick it up a notch. Very cozy and lively atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant and avoid the massive crowds at the main JJ's Lodge.

First time at John Harvard for a meal, and Thanksgiving day. The food was delicious, the waitress was friendly, and the food slow coming out of the kitchen. They did not open the doors until 11:01. Two settings, 11:00 and 1:00. You would think they would have started seating earlier since people we still eating when the afternoon reservation time came, those guests were all standing by the elevator. All in all, I was impressed with the food and presentation. I would visit again.

The deviled eggs were different but tasty. The wasabi encrusted ahi tuna was amazing. Didn't care so much for the veggies that came with the meal however.

Very bad place. Dirty tables, not cleaning up after we finish appetizers or dinner. They were very nice but did their job very poorly. They left a table that was finished eating dirty for an hour making some people wait for their tables! Cmon jiminy peak, you can do better! Hire more staff and give them reasonable training! Next time, hopefully they run the restaurant smoother and take orders faster! I forgot to mention but we asked for a glass of water and the waitress asks us to give us our old, dirty cups and use them for water. We waited a long time(15 minutes) and a busboy finally came to give us our water which I didn't bother to drink unless I was really thirsty. I loved the staff. They were very kind and nice, but they didn’t do their job correctly which made us stay for 2 hours for a tiny dinner. They also said they were full in reservations and they crammed us in the corner table for 2 but we had 3. They had like 4 extra tables open with drinks from the other table after they left an hour ago. They didn’t have to do that. Hopefully they do...

This is a generous review. I just don't like giving negative reviews. We got there about an hour before closing. It was pretty full but was given the impression there were no available tables. It took a long time for a server to acknowledge us. We started with soup. It took almost 15 minutes to get it. Other tables whose food came earlier were seated after us. We finished the soup but had already given our dinner order. After an unreasonable wait I inquired. Funny how when you inquire, it comes right out. Remember others got their food earlier. You kinda know it's going to be a bad night when the upside of the hamburger bun was burnt. Clearly our food was sitting for a while. The fries were warm at best. Oh I forgot the bun was in the toaster. The food was ok. nothing to entice a repeat performance. I only tipped 20%. This is very are for me to tip so little as servers are...

The service was very slow. 2 servers, 9 tables sitting for dinner, and they just couldn't keep up. This would be fine if the food was good. It wasn't my eggplant parmesan was overcooked. It actually crunched in my mouth. And it was served over pasta, which was served over a bowl of water. Yes, I poured the liquid out of my plate into my bread plate in front of the server and she didn't even say anything. My wife and friend each got a burger. They got medium-rare and medium, respectively, when asked how they would like it cooked. Pointless question. They both came out well done. And as if all this wasn't bad enough, if I don't include the price of drinks, our food came out to $25 per person. Ah, yes. NYC fine dining prices in western Massachusetts. Again, that would've been acceptable if you knew how to drain pasta or cook a...
