Hanover Eatery — Restaurant in Hanover Township

Went here after finding out the waffle house had a 30min wait and my time was limited. Very crowded on this Sunday, but i was seated rather quickly. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and eggs scrambled well with cheese. It was about a 15min wait (not bad). Biscuits were very, very dry. Even the gravy didn't soften the gritty texture. I ate one of the two. The gravy tasted like it had dish detergent in it. I'm thinking the plate or fork may have had a good amount of residual on it. The "scrambled eggs" were reminiscent of flat, fried eggs with cheddar cheese slices tossed on top and microwaved. Im used to restaurants/diners cooking the eggs fluffy and adding the cheese inside. The eggs were also very dry. I'm not a fan.

My server was kind and courteous....even attempted to get some money off of the bill without me asking. He said he was told, "We can't do that." Oh well! I don't plan on eating here ever again.

Update the the below response: MY sausage gravy and biscuits ONLY came with two biscuits, hence why i said i ate 1 and left the other. If I was supposed to receive 4, then I should be coming for a partial, if not full, refund after not receiving 2 biscuits. To add, my issues were not only discussed with my wonderful waiter, but the young lady checking people out as well. Despite the nasty taste of the food, I paid my full bill and tipped my waiter. Again, I never personally asked for any money off. I just won't spend my money in the establishment anymore. Hope...

The service stars are for the cashier not my actual server. My breakfast experience on 2/8/25 was a mixed bag. While my waitress was fantastic, and my order was perfect, the overall experience was tarnished by the cashier staff.

My bill was given to me as $29 and some change. I handed the cashier $40.00. As I walked away, I realized the change she gave me was only $9 and some change. When I went back to address it, she looked at me like I was crazy and insisted she gave me what the register said. Another staff member then came over, examined my bill, and gave me the correct change but with quite an attitude.

A few moments later, the same cashier approached my table with a new receipt, claiming that the waitress had given me the wrong bill. She even reached to pick up a dollar from the tip I was leaving for the server. It was the most unprofessional service I have ever encountered.

Mediocre at best. Poorly prepared food. I knew we were in trouble when the next table complained that the toast wasn't toasted and the waitresses response was "that's the way our conveyor does it". So, I got white bread as toast. Note: there's definitely a button or knob on whatever contraption you have to make toast that determines the darkness of said toast, my home toaster has that. Eggs were rubbery, fruit was straight from a can, bacon was overly fatty and waitress was not especially accommodating. When I asked to order right away because we'd already waited 15 min to get drinks, I was denied because the waitress had to run food first. I get it, you're busy, but it also wasn't that full and the food wasn't that good. After we got our food I had to find someone to finally get the check and get out of there. They're lucky to have business because there isn't much else around. Drive a little further and you'd almost definitely find a better meal and service for the price, at least...
