Little J’s Donuts N’ More — Restaurant in Harahan

First time here and looked cute! Looked cool and I went to the drive thru. Less than welcoming woman first words were we don’t serve breakfast here just donuts. I said we’re in search of donuts! I asked for a menu or a selection list. She offered for me to backup and look through the drive thru window at a chalk board menu across the restaurants main space. Found this odd. There were three gentleman inside sitting around so knowing she was busy but I said I’ll look online and was about to say what do you recommend but the window was closed on me. She came back and asked me to move my vehicle “pull up” I said we’re ready and she gruffed like we were annoying her for not knowing what they had. It was in that moment I decided I am not ordering donuts from this restaurant cause this has been a bad experience thus far. I said you know you are less than nice and pulled away. Always great! Little J's consistently pushes the donut limits with creative, colorful, and delicious product. If that's not enough, the staff is always ready to hand out complimentary donut holes to the first kid of the day (usually mine on Saturdays). Do they do anything else? Well, I'm glad you asked. Little J's hosts a summer reading program that awards kids with donuts for reading books. The staff often has toys and trinkets during holidays...and there's sometimes even a guest in the shop to surprise the kids.

This place is a hidden gem! The staff is committed to providing top notch service to their customers. I came in looking for some of their incredible cake donuts with strawberries and blueberries on top (yes- a donut with fresh fruit on top- yum!), and when they didn’t have any in the display case they offered to custom make them for me. While the girls were decorating my donuts, the other customers in the shop were all discussing how this shop is has the best service in town.
