If you drive by this gem in downtown Hardy, turn toward it and park in the massive parking lot at the back. The main entrance is on the west side of the building but with the recent addition ( a year or so ago ) there is also a entrance from the main road. The west side entrance brings you into a small cafe style feeling. There are approximately 9 seating areas that hold 4 diners each. If you walk straight forward through into the addition, you come to a bar / pub feeling area. Which it is not the sort ( the entrance from the street bring you into this area ). My wife and I decided to sit in this section. There is a vaulted ceiling with booths and counter seats facing the road. The booths are spacious with hard wood seating and hard plastic tops. A fan was on and blowing right at us. We asked to turn it off which it was promptly. The coffee cups were already at the table, upside down. Creamer and French Vanilla creamer cups are mixed together in a bin. Other needed condiment packets are mixed together on the other side of the same bin. The ketchup and honey were in their own respective bottles. My wife and I went in around 9:30 am and I was surprised that even in the morning, you had breakfast ( served all day ) and lunch options to choose from. We ordered a Reuben, a bacon cheeseburger and I also ordered a side of fries. All items are a la cart 🤔 We enjoyed the meal and the to go breakfast we ordered for a later lunch. Delicious! The server was nice and made sure our cups were full. We both had coffee ( we wiped the rims off ) and I also had unsweetened tea. Two sandwiches, order of fries, 2 coffees, a tea and 2 breakfast items came to a bit under $40 ( not including tip ). There was a lost older sweet blue eyed dog right outside the west facing door as we left. It looked like a tan colored lab / boxer mix. Someone had written a note and put it in it's collar in hopes of finding it's owner. This restaurant is a must try if you are new to the area, visiting or if you're a local that hasn't tried it...
Read moreMy son and his wife went to the Corner Booth Cafe in Hardy Arkansas for breakfast. It was their first time eating there. She got ham, eggs, hashbrowns, and toast, he got the western omelet and hashbrowns. Her ham steak was so tough she could not cut through the ham with a serrated steak knife, her eggs still looked and smelled super raw. The toast was like biting into a rock. Both of their hasbrowns were like mash potatoes underneath while the top looked partially cooked, even though they had requested for them to be extra crispy. My son took a bite from his omelet and said the inside appeared to be undercooked, super runny/squishy, and he immediately felt sick to his stomach. They had taken one or two bites each before deciding the poor quality was not worth paying for. They proceeded to check out and as they attempted to pay for their drinks, they informed the staff and owner about the poor quality of the food. To their surprise the staff and owner’s response was to curse, belittle, and harass them, asking my son’s spouse if she was using the utensils correctly! At this point both the staff and owner were being extremely disrespectful, raising their voices and telling them they didn't care that the food was undercooked and literally sickening. My son once again offered to pay for the coffee they had drank but the owner yelled at them to leave. They proceeded to head toward the exit of the building when a woman they had seen pacing the store and interacting with staff began to chase them from the restaurant and out into the street, forcing my son into to a verbal confrontation on the sidewalk right in front of the restaurant on Main Street for the whole world to see! They felt both embarrassed and utterly disrespected! This type of behavior is absolutely appalling and any restaurant that conducts business this way should be shut down...
