We had a group of 8. The place was fairly busy. The waitress gets our drink orders. About 15 minutes later she comes to get our order. We tell her who is on what check. She leaves. We wait. And we wait. No one tells us anything until about an hour or more later we ask about our food. She said someone in the kitchen walked out. Our orders were not complicated. Soup, salads and a couple of sandwiches and chicken wings. No one came to tell us anything. Finally an assistant manager came over and we had to ask her about our food. 2 1/2 hours before we got our food. The assistant manager gave us $4 off of our bill and we was told she took 20% off the TOTAL bill. So our separate checks didn’t get the 20%. We were told we can’t have pizza, we can’t have steaks, 3 items were taken off of the appetizer menu. What can we have?? They don’t bother to tell you until 30 minutes after you order that you can’t have that. The tables were left dirty. The waitress was hiding in the kitchen instead of cleaning off dirty tables. Not one single apology by our waitress and more disappointing, not a single thank you for your patience during the 3 hour wait or thank you for your business. Nothing. They automatically add the tip to your bill. It’s definitely not earned but forced upon you for less than sub par service. We have tried this place three times in the last month or so and each time it just gets worse. We won’t be back and I overheard the other people at a different table say they won’t be back either. They should really train their people on customer service. Could have had a gold mine there but with their choices in help and poor customer service it’s going to end up just another...
Read moreI started coming to The Mill when it first opened. I'm not gonna lie, the food and service was not very good. The menu wasn't fully available and getting a server to come away from the server station and their co-worker convo was annoying. I figured the wait would be worth it for the food, but was mistaken and a bit let down. It was suggested by others to "try out the"The Mill" for s meal and I would kindly decline. Fast forward one year, I hear a bartender I really liked from another bar was now working at "The Mill" So, I suggested to go and try the Mill for Drinks. We had a great time and Janelle was serving. Janelle suggested we come back another time for food. I trust her, so I drug my boyfriend the following weekend. We were served by Taylor, our favorite server from another bar. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the Adult Grilled Cheese, and he the Wisconsin burger (they have the really good battered fries). He still raves on that burger. And I thought mine was actually pretty good too! We've trickled back ever since. We see more and more people we know and it's warming to be greeted with a rousing "Hello" when we come in. They see it's us, and get greeted again by name. It's comfortable here and I'm really liking it here more and more. Looking forward to all the NEW things happening here. Read moreHere is my one positive comment-Beautifully remodeled bar/restaurant. This is a very big and open bar so one would think you would have more than one server and one bartender. We ordered a tin can nachos and when it came out, there was no napkins or silverware. The nachos needed more chips and less cheese and the cheese was not a good flavor. You could not find Our waitress to bring silverware and the bartender was on the other side of the bar so we couldn’t get her attention. I had to ask for Water three times and still never got it so I went to the bar and she acted like she was put out. Somebody ordered a cocktail and never got it, but was charged for it and when that was addressed to the bartender because we couldn’t find the server. She did nothing about it, she also acted like we were bothering her. When our food finally came, everybody got served except two people when their food finally came. It was mediocre, and the mushrooms were not cooked(Philly cheese steak). The burgers were all overcooked and the just weren’t good. Normally, I would give this place a second chance, but I will not be going back at all. The one thing the owners should take from this is one bartender snd one server for that size of a bar is ridiculous.Get it together otherwise, this will be one more local...
