Went there yesterday for lunch. We were the first customers of the day so the restaurant was empty. We were promptly greeted and seated to a booth. Upon looking around it appeared that the tables and booths were very close together and left little room for people to walk by without bumping into something. BUT THE FOOD!! We were promptly brought our drinks chips and guacamole. The guacamole was amazing. In fact, the best I’ve ever had. The carne asada was tender and melts in your mouth, the flavor wasn’t overwhelming nor lacking. It was perfect. The carnitas were tender and flavorful. The beans were amazing too! Took home left overs (large portions) and even cold when eaten later tasted delicious! I dare say that this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant and hope they are here to stay. You have to go! The downside is there were flies that kept trying to land on our food.
Cons: Space between the tables is limited. A few Flies kept bugging us.
Pros: Great service Amazing food Great music Drive thru...
Read moreCame out for their grand opening, but couldn't get a seat. Finally made it back. Much less crowded now. Clearly they did not spend the pandemic cleaning or redecorating. Our booth had a hole punched in the drywall and parts of the faux panelling ripped off. Spider webs were clearly visible in corners and it looked like the carved table top had not been cleaned since opening. Fresh chips and homemade salsa were very good - not too spicey. The Chimi Salad was tastey, but very light on salad. The Chicken taco was good, too. Friendly and attentive waiter didn't really understand when i asked about the salad, but was great at keeping my water glass full. I question whether their credit card surcharge is even really allowed, but no worse than many Chicago restaurants now charging a pandemic surcharge. Maybe a cash discount would be less offensive. The real question is if the customers will return with higher prices. All that said, i might be back for...
Read moreThe decor of this restaurant is stylish and welcoming, with a warm entry way and cool mini bar. The glowing bottle-labra which greets you is an incredible piece of art, you will want to take it home. Adding to this ambience is the above and beyond food, some of the best I've ever had in the States. Every offering on the menu is authentic and delicious. The building housing the restaurant has been several different establishments over the years, but this is definitely the best one! I am a huge fan of Los Panchos and will spread the word for them to help keep them business. With all of the obvious attention to detail and effort to give customers a memorable experience they deserve to thrive at that location for many years to come. Please go there, today! You'll want to...
