I am calling this review "The 25 cents Review". I would have never written this review if the man had apologized and handed me the quarter like a gentleman and not plopped the quarter on the counter in front of me. Let me explain. I went to Rudy's on early Saturday evening with a few friends. I am a senior citizen and I do not have a pension, just my social security so I am extremely careful with my money. If you are also that type of person DO NOT go to Rudy's. I looked over the menu and I ordered a pastrami on rye with fried onions. There are two different pastrami on rye items on Rudy's menu. One is $10.99 and comes with chips and the other is $12.99 and comes with french fries. I made sure to make it clear to the waitress that I didn't want the one with french fries. Of course when the food comes there's french fries so I immediately told the waitress this is not what I ordered so she explained that it was their mistake that is what she had written but the kitchen did not pay attention and I would not be charged. Of course when I get the bill I was charged for the french fries. I told the waitress and she said they'll take it off up front. So of course I go to the register and the man is there and I told him about the problem and he made it quite clear how pissed off he was even though I explained I said I did not want the french fries he didn't care and it was quite obvious. I had to show them on the menu where it was $10.99. So then I was handed a bill for $11.78. I again had to question what was the 79 cents for. I was told for the fried onions. Again I had to show them on the menu fried onions are 50 cents. Instead of adjusting my bill for the third time he had already ranked it up so he took a quarter out of the register and plopped it on the counter instead of handing it to me and apologizing. I hate going to this restaurant. I only went because the friends wanted to go but the owners are such horrible people making you feel like you're not worth their respect. That's correct, the man never apologizes. What is also extremely annoying is that they do not know their menu and when you point it out to them they get upset with you. These owners have no respect for their customers. If you go to Rudy's just to let them know that you saw the review please tell them and it doesn't matter who is at the register just tell them I saw the 25 cent...
Read moreI don’t like to complain but when the customer and experience is just that terrible I have to. My family and I very rarely go out to eat but we decided to treat the kids and wanted to try this place since we’ve never been. Big mistake. We were there probably a good 10 minutes before we met our server, fast forward to our food. I got the French dip melt, and its was honestly the worst French dip I have ever had the roast beef was beyond dry and flavorless and even with the dip it there was no flavor. I maybe took 3 bites out of it and been had my husband try it and he said the same time. When our server finally came back I had just maybe eaten half of the first half of the sandwich and hardly any fries I told her to take it because I did not like it, it was gross and she goes “Are you sure, do you want to take it home?” ITS DISGUSTING why would I want to take it home. We decided to get boxes and when I was putting my child’s food in the box there was literally hair stuck to her plate that was UNDER her food. (Kids chicken tenders and fries) my husband has unsweet tea and when she brought him a refill it was steaming it was so hot. I decided to bring the issues to the manager/owner and she had the server come over because she never brought the issue of my food being gross to their attention when it happened she flat out lied and said that I practically ate almost all of it, when I mentioned about the tea being extremely hot I was told I should have asked for more ice because it’s brewed fresh. Brewed fresh is one thing but to bring a piping hot cup to the table is just lack of common sense. Speaking of common sense, I had a 1 year old sitting in a high chair at the end of the table and just about every single plate she brought out that she warned me “its hot be careful” would place it down on the table directly in front of my child who was very excited to try and grab everything that’s put in front of them. Everyone’s experiences are different and but the lack of customer service in this restaurant was just completely uncalled for. I was just trying to kindly ask for my sandwich to be taken off my bill not to be blatantly mocked in...
Read moreRead moreOrdered via phone and owner's wife took our order. She is very rude and the worst and most ungrateful business person. She should be cleaning the toilets or doing dishes in the back. and having NO contact with the customers! We ordered two hot turkey SANDWICHES with steak fries. I asked for gravy on the steakfries as well as on the turkey. My husband brought it home, and we got steak fries in seperate containers with no gravy and maybe a teaspoon of gravy on the turkey, no bread but dry and cold stuffing underneath the turkey! She couldn't even get the order right. So, I called back and spoke with the rude and nasty wife and she stated, "hot turkey sandwiches come with mashed potatoes not fries. It is Friday night at 4:45 pm and we are very busy!" She needs to read the menu as it says, comes with soup or salad, and mashed potatoes or french fries. She has no clue what "customer service" means nor does she care. $28.50 and didn't get what we ordered and she could care less. We are locals who support this establishment year round. Last but certainly not least, she said to me, "you don't need to be so rude" (because I complained?) and hung up on me! That is the kind of "CUSTOMER SERVICE" this establishment provides. So sad that this owner just doesn't care about the people who support her business. We will not support this business as they just don't care. No wonder they are ALWAYS looking for help. I would NEVER work for this woman as she has no business sense whatsoever. If I could I would have given them no stars. We will NEVER give them our business. And by the way, this is the 3rd time she has messed up our order in the last couple of months. Also I asked her what kind of pasta was in the chicken soup and she told me little noodles, when we got it home it was pastini, not noodles! She is so lazy that she couldn't even look what type of pasta was in the soup. Poor excuse for an owner, so very sad. And you wonder why businesses don't succeedhere's a...
