Updated Review: We will get the Cubano right sooner or later.

I've been coming here for years and I always get a cuban sandwich cause this is one of the very few places in Harrisburg that offers them. However, unfortunately they can never seem to get it right. A Cubano is pork, ham, and cheese (and pickles) which it even states on their menu (menu doesn't state pickles). Everytime I order one they always put lettuce and tomato and some sort of red sauce, even though I never ask for it and it's not part of the menu description for this item. An authentic Cubano is what I mentioned above on cuban bread (which unfortunately they do not have here) but they do put it on a hero (or in PA they call it a hoagie or sub which I hate those terms and they are not correct. If you come from NYC you would agree). They also use yellow American cheese which is also incorrect. I feel bad because every time I come I feel like I'm starting an argument when all I want is just what's on their menu. I actually did have an argument a few years back with one of the girls who was serving me, fighting about what a Cubano is which I thought was really odd.

I must say though they did update their menu design and renovated their restaurant which now includes a full bar and the workers are a little more pleasant now then the ones they had before which were very rude. They also move the line faster now then previously which could be about an hour to get a meal cause all the workers were busy talking. They do have some very tasty food here and the rice is equally amazingly tasty.

I hope one day I order a Cubano the restaurant will get it correct. Not only what's on the menu but what a real Cubano should be. That's why I deducted a star this time around.

1 year ago: Amazing authentic Spanish food. I always go with the cuban sandwich with some sweet plantains on the side. They also have some really good chicken and rice which I usually get one whole chicken cut up and a side of white and yellow rice....

I’ve been here a handful of times. First time I catered spending over $300 and they were so rude to me, mind you I came in 10 mins earlier from the time they said my order was going to be ready, I waiting 20 mins after that. The cook came out and said whenever it’s done it will be done. You ordered a lot of food. Like what? I am paying for it! I waited an extra 10 mins. When I asked for a manager, no one knew “maybe he is busy, maybe he left”

Other times- I’ve came in and just the rudeness.

Last time and final time- I ordered a to go meal for 3, super expensive but still was going to pay. I walk to the counter where you pay and I put my arm in the counter when no lie, there were a army of roaches coming up and round the counter top and there was someone eating at the counter as well! The lady in the front come to charge me and I told her, I am not paying for this and you guys need to see the army of roaches. She looked at it and end and told someone (maybe a manager) and I walked out!

Horrible place to go and get food plus everyone is rude to you!

DO NOT...

We have been here 2 times already this year. Sometimes you get tired of American diner food, fast food, Thai, and Indian so we like to mix it up and get Dominican/Puerto Rico food.

This food is pure comfort food and great on a winter or rainy day. My husband is Puerto Rican and loves the meals here. We do carry out now because with the drinks and tips our family of 3 ends up paying $100. They charge for water bottles and juices are pricey at $5. When we do carry out, it's substantially less. We drive all the way out from Forest Hills/Linglestown area.

The one tamale/pastelle was a little bit too salty for my taste, but I liked the fried potato balls with meat, which was very good. I got a big chicken soup with these two appetizers. Husband and son got rice with meat entrees. The food portions are also plentiful. They are not cheap with rice like in Thai or Chinese restaurants.

The restaurant was clean. Parking lot can be tight so we had to park in street last time. We will go there tomorrow before the Super Bowl to pick...

I recommend sitting and ordering food from the menu. Huge different in freshness and flavor. I ordered the paella and it was great.
