Sheri's Family Diner And Pizzeria — Restaurant in Harrison

I just moved to Harrison not long ago. Sherthe dei's is close by where I live. I ordered a large deluxe for delivery and just the one pizza, nothing else, with tax was just shy of $30 bucks. Then I threw the driver another $5 for a tip. -- I love toppings and that's why I ordered the deluxe large. -- What they brought me for almost $40 was basically a cheese pizza with a tiny sprinkle of toppings across the top. Pizza is one of the easiest foods to make money with for a restaurant. The flavor of the pizza was ok, but if I wanted a forty dollar cheese pizza I would not have ordered a deluxe. I should have balked at the price and hung up the phone and not order. As far as the quality and puny quantity of toppings this was the worst pizza I've ever had in my 60 years of life. -- When I get dealt with in a tip offed way, I do a couple things. First I called the next day and told Sheri about it. Next I let the innocent future potential customers the truth about a terrible experience. It is an honest review. People tend to read or listen to Consumer Reports Magazine... They review products of many types. But they only buy and review on item.... One time... That's all you get, and when the experience is ridiculously terrible, well Sheri's blew it, and I definitely won't be back there to allow this business to rip me off again. Stay away from this price bloated, terrible pizza place. I don't know how in this small town a business can keep afloat by being so chincy and cheap on toppings, yet bloated a swelled up for pricing... In my disgust they earn my review. Steer clear of this plus unless you are some kind of millionaire who can afford a single forty dollar blob of food with a teeny bit of toppings barely sprinkled in the cheese. Worst pizza value anywhere in the USA. STAY AWAY from Sheri's family diner or you too will suffer the same. What a rip off business. If it's that bad economically where you have to ration the amount of toppings on a normally ordered food item for a higher price than anywhere else on the planet. . maybe it's time for Sherri to retire and my next pizza will be a Hot and Ready at Little Caesar's for five bucks. I know one thing, for five bucks I'll get a hell of a lot more topping than Sheri's knows...

We were looking for a place for lunch and Sheri's Family Diner & Pizzeria parking lot was full (which usually means a popular place with good food & good prices) so we decided to stop. They advertise "BOGO half off pizza" so my son & I each ordered 10 inch pizzas with 2 toppings. They were $10.20 each - So after the discount 2 pizzas were $7.65 each - Very reasonable! But wait - There's more! The pizzas were huge! Very fluffy crust with a buttery crunchy outside! Very flavorful sauce (this is very important to me) and my son found tomato pieces in his sauce (I think it is homemade). The toppings were standard, but flavorful. Two 10 inch pizzas could feed three or four people, but of course we stuffed ourselves trying to finish them anyways - and still left with several slices to go. This is definitely the best pizza I've had in a while. Maybe the best pizza in northern lower Michigan. It's delicious and I very highly recommend it. Also, my wife got the hickory burger and loved it. It was very messy and delicious. Don't walk in here expecting to get out of there in half an hour, but it's worth the wait if you...

I'd say 4.1 stars over all... Tables not cleaned between customers, just wiped with a dry towel . I have witnessed many places doing this lazy procedure. FYI it's a health dept critical violation. It takes 30 seconds to do a table and 4 chairs or booth the "right way " and 10 seconds to dry it . Food on floor from kids was cleaned up quickly ✅ Arrived at 1130am, quite busy. Got my drink and order in quickly . First the cashier (owner?) brought me a menu and asked for my drink. She filled most of it then got side tracked, luckily another nice waitress(table busser?) picked up the slack. A 3rd waitress took my food order after the 2nd one let her know I was ready to order. A bit disorganized for a business but it shows good teamwork. Only waited 18 minutes for my burger which is nice ✅.
