Stopped in for dinner this evening....first and last time. Our waitress, I believe her name was Alexis, was rude and really shouldn't be waitressing. We ordered soup to start. After waiting between 10-15 minutes, it finally arrived at our table. As she put our soup down, we were informed that the rest of our dinner was ready and was asked if we wanted everything at once. I replied no...to please give us a chance to finish the soup first. I ordered a burger with cheese, mushrooms and onions and ended up not being able to eat it as it was raw. At no point did she return to the table to ask how things were. When we went to pay, we were told to pay the bill and leave. Definitely would not recommend this establishment. Edit to the above review...... We went into the restaurant this morning to speak with the manager about our experience last night. Ronnie....and the morning staff....changed our first impression. From the service to the food quality, it was almost like a completely different restaurant. After this morning's experience....5 plus stars and definitely recommend dining here....at least during the day. So, Ronnie, Dawn, Delores....and the rest of the staff working the morning shift....keep up the great work. Looking forward...
Read moreThey just missed a one star review because they refilled my Coke. The waitress was nice enough but that's where the positives end.
To start, she says they have Coke products and I ask for Cherry Coke but they don't have it. Then I ask for steak tips. They don't have it. Then I ask for chicken Alfredo. They don't have it. Then they finally tell me all the things I can't order which is anything with chicken or steak. Nice. I'm about to walk out at this point but I decided to try the eggs Benedict. This was a terrible mistake. It was the worst eggs Benedict I've ever eaten. They Didn't ask how I wanted my eggs but who the hell likes them cooked until solid? Anyone who's anyone wants runny yolks. They were hard. The hollandaise didn't have flavor and the ham tasted like sandwich lunch meat. The potatoes had no seasoning of any kind. I almost never leave food on my plate at a restaurant but I didn't eat the potatoes because they were nasty. Even ketchup couldn't save them. VERY disappointed. Came to this truck stop specifically for this diner and left wishing I had just gone to bed instead of to dinner. $20 for the worst meal I've had in a long time and I'm a trucker who gets lots of bad meals. Definitely...
Read moreStopped into Joe's late evening after a long day of traveling and had one of the most entertaining experiences ever. The location of the diner roped us in quickly, it is easily accessible from the many nearby hotels.
As soon as we walked in the door, you could tell they had gone through it. Tables were either dirty or full, and 75% of the tables were closed, likely due to limited staff. A stressed out looking lady greeted us quickly and explained how they had just gotten hit with some big crowds that they were not aware of.
Because of the earlier chaos, the diner was nearly out of all food. Our server came out with a "No" list - all of the food that they did not have. Our choices for sides per our server were french fries or french fries. Our server had a sarcastic wit that I found hilarious and refreshing but I could see how someone may take it the wrong way.
Despite the limited menu and depressing atmosphere, the cheeseburger I had was actually delicious. You could tell it was real beef -- a nice substantial burger. Fries were hot and fresh. My partner had the roast beef which had great flavor but due to the circumstances, it was probably not as hot as it would have been on a...
