El Charro — Restaurant in Harrodsburg

NASTY / this place is nasty their kitchen is nasty food all over the floor / they were walking in THE food they brought dishes to our table that was dirty the silverware is dirty the glasses were dirty the bowl of salsa was dirty it had salsa all over the bowl the plates had dried food on it the bathrooms were disgusting the bathrooms had no soap or anything to dry your hands with !! NASTY the food was terrible the fajitas were burnt and it smelt weird / I have nothing nice to say about this place it is disgusting EVEN THE PERSON THAT CHECKED US OUT TO PAY FOR THE BILL HAD HIS FEET PROPPED UP ON THE COUNTER!! EVEN THE MOUNTAIN DEW TASTED NASTY HOW DO YOU MESS UP A MOUNTAIN DEW? DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE WE BECAME VERY SICK AND BUGS WAS RUNNING ACROSS THE FLOOR THE FLOOR WAS NASTY IN THE DINING AREA IT WAS VERY DIRTY TERRIBLE / I could see into the kitchen it was dirty there was chips all over the floor in the kitchen that they were walking all over the spilled food in the floor / they were not even cleaning...

Oddly, this was it first time trying El Charro. My wife loves going out for Mexican (her favorite) so we decided to finally give them a try. Neither of us left impressed. The table behind us ordered something that comes out on the hot skillet. It was burning so the sent it back. By the time the server took it back, the entire dining room was smokey and the burnt smell was off putting for nearly the rest of our visit. I order the "14 Oz" Tbone. Was quite a bit anorexic. My 12 oz Ribeye from Cheddars was at least twice the size. Rice was dried out and neither the Steak or my sides had much flavor. We are going to try them again amd hope for a better experience next time....

Server did try and the margaritas were decent is the only reason I'll give 2 stars instead of 1.... From the chips being in a large trash can ( so leftover chips or whatever but how and why ) that were dumped into the heater but the guy was too short so dumped about half the chips on the floor, this was at the opening into the kitchen and just a weird ordeal.... Then the bartender was sick as coughing the whole time we were at the restaurant... Food was nothing special at all, steak, chicken, nachos, shrimp and rice we all tried and none of us were very pleased.... I'll never be back and wouldn't recommend this...
