We've ordered take out here 5-6 times. It has been a few years and figured since they were still open, something must have gotten better. Nope.
All half dozen times we've ordered here, the food looks and tastes like they pulled it from the buffet, 10 or 12 hours overdue. The rice is dry, flavorless, and old. The dinners we order (always the same sweet and sour chicken and Kung Pao Chicken) are either overly dry or swimming in sauce with very little meat.
There's another Chinese food place 15 miles north of here that has more than acceptable food. We had restricted our orders to that restaurant the past couple years and will do so again. As a local, you'd expect better.
I'm not mentioning the other restaurant because we don't have a stake in either place. Don't waste your time or money here. Hotel room microwaved Chinese is much better.
If you are visiting Harrodsburg, my apologies. This doesn't represent us. The Mexican restaurant downtown is fantastic, Family Affair is worth a look, and if you want Chinese, go to Lawrenceburg.
I've lived and worked all over this country. Gas station food is hotter, fresher, and more consistent than this. Edit after 5 years: Nothing has changed. The name is appropriate. The "Why Me?" buffet must be a cover for...

All-star lineup of items available at the buffet that is headlined (I'm home) by the chicken with broccoli, and bourbon and honey chicken dishes. The egg rolls, fried wings, teriyaki sticks and SS chicken are all flavorful and top notch while the seafood is more limited, the mussels are out of this world and the shrimp in lobster sauce are unmatched imo. Staff are quite welcoming, making guests feel at home. The food is incredibly consistent and the price is right.
If I had to be critical, I'd say a little remodel were in order but that's just me. I never went for the facilities.
I would strongly recommend this diamond in the rough if you're looking for great Chinese comfort food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe one word to sum up me experience here was eh. When we walked in we were greeted with "How many" and then we told the lady it was to go. The overall decor was just eh. nothing special and kinda cheesy Americanized Chinese restaurant decor. The food did smell goo though. Wahmei has a decent menu selection but after getting our food its was sub par. The portions are smaller than most Chinese restaurants I've been too. I had the orange chicken and it wasn't crispy like it should have been. The pork fried rise was just bland and the egg roll was so so. My boyfriend got their shrimp curry and again it was just so so. I will not be visiting...
