Frosty Mug Drive In — Restaurant in Harrogate

My mother went through and placed an order for me and my one year old while we were home. She ordered an order of potato skins for me with no bacon. An order of potato skins comes in an order of four. One potato skin had no bacon while the other three did. I called to ask for a remake without bacon and the lady that answered claimed to be the owner instantly said she’d refund my money without me even finishing my sentence then hung up the phone. I called back and asked to speak with the owner only to be told she WAS the owner and was very rude and unprofessional. I’ve worked as a manager at a fast food place. I understand people get busy in food establishments but rather than letting me finish my sentence, she was rude, cut me off, hung up on me, and refused a remake all because her excuse was she’s swamped and made a mistake. Again, I understand mistakes happen. I just wanted a remake with NO bacon and instead I was met with very excessive disrespect. I do NOT recommend going there without checking your order before you leave and having them correct the issue prior to leaving. I would’ve checked my food if I was with but I’m currently six months pregnant at home sick with a one year old. Ordered food there on Monday 3/28/22. Paid with a debit card. Was told that there was another person with my name and that the car hop had gotten the tickets confused. She stated that she refunded my money on my debit card and gave me a receipt. It is now 3/30/22 and my money is still not refunded. I have my receipts from the three transactions, the initial charge, the return, and the correct charge. Called Frosty Mug to inquire about the situation and they were immediately defensive and I was told that “I don’t know nothing about that” and that I would have to speak with the owner. They had initially thought I was the customer they overcharged by 50 dollars! So this is something that happens there frequently. Since they are incompetent and cannot resolve the issue, I have spoken to my bank and will dispute the charge. I will NEVER order food from there again! Great nostalgic drive-in, these are getting rare. Hands down best burger, fries, hot dog, and chocolate shake I've had anywhere in a long time, maybe ever! Big, thick, crinkle cut fries, fried to the perfect golden brown, and perfect hamburger. They have a lot of other menu items we are anxious to try. They even have Philly cheese steak, and Philly chicken cheese sandwichs. You can find the menu online. There are several places to eat within a few miles, but the Frosty Mug probably stays busier than all the others. The police pulled in to eat while we were there, and they know all the best places to eat, as they have to eat out every shift. Quick service for such a busy place, and you can call ahead to shorten the wait. Very good, courteous, service. There are also picnic tables under a metal awning if you don't want to eat in your car. My only complaint is, they don't have a Morristown location. We drove almost an hour just to eat there, and will continue to from time to time. Also two can eat good for $20. GREAT...
