Dined in on a Sunday. Had a rather short wait for a table, was great to see the place was busy. The service was top-notch. The server was very attentive and offered meal recommendations based upon questions that she asked us with our meal preferences. The food came out in an extremely reasonable amount of time given the amount of people that were inside eating at the same time. No complaints! The food was delicious, attention was paid to detail. The salad with homemade Italian dressing was delicious. Between the two of us we ate baked spaghetti with the side salad, and a Gyro platter with french fries. The breadsticks and marinara sauce were served immediately with the drinks. The server was attentive and made sure that our drinks were filled promptly. No need to track her down. We were offered drinks to go at the end of our meal and most importantly we were thanked for stopping by and eating with them today. If I could do zero stars I would. Took family there for dinner and from the young man seating us to the person who checked us out it was a terrible experience. The hostess never even said hi to us, I don’t even think he spoke. The waitress too our drink order, came back and took our order and then was gone for 20 minutes. After getting cold soup and a soggy wet salad our ice cold pasta arrived. Not one person got hot food at our table. We waited another 10 minutes and still had to go find our waitress to complain. We returned the food and then waited for the red headed young man to finish his phone text for another 5 minutes before we could pay for our drinks. We went to Gondolier’s in Harrogate tonight. We’ve always had a good experience at the one in Knoxville. The service was terrible. Our server took forever to bring us our breadsticks. Another employee came by to refill our drinks, because our server didn’t bother to check. She didn’t ask if we wanted an appetizer or cake. We had planned on getting both. We ended up asking if we could get some cake and what cake they had. She said we couldn’t eat it at the table, but we could go check out which ones they had and order some up there. We’ve always be able to order cake at the Knox location and eat cake at the table after the rest of our food. We ended up not getting any. Won’t be going back because of how terrible the server was.
