After little research of restaurants in the area I found this place. It appealed to my group of 5 because it was quaint, not touristy and unique in comparison to other local eateries. The service was BAD. The hostess and bartender were both very rude, blaming it on being understaffed. (no water, waited 15 minutes for hostess & bartender to greet us, etc.) This restaurant has great potential for FRIENDLY & QUICK service. GREAT FOOD with only beer and wine? Yes. Unfortunately Not one staff member working this Sunday afternoon appeared competent. Being ‘understaffed’ or having a busy section etc. isn’t a valid excuse to be rude. I saw enough staff for this place to run efficiently if they knew how to do their job. Pictured is the brisket cheesesteak & onion rings. Both were FANTASTIC and came out in a timely fashion. I’d rate this brewery 5+ stars if ratings were solely based on food..

sept 30 visit. This is a self serve place - ambience was pleasant. My $12.00 Rueben with homemade chips was really good! There was alot of really seemingly fresh corned beef packed in the sandwich on dark bread w/sauerkraut. The sauce was excellent. The sandwich overall was of high quality and very tasty. The chips were "different" as they were kettle cooked and chewy and once cooled became somewhat rubbery. My wife's $8.00 bowl of onion soup of the day she felt was really good as it was thick and did have the cheese and toasted bread on top. The asparagus nuggets were fried and tasty. Overall -I would recommend!

A fun stop that brings something hard to find nearby. Their food was quite good and the interior suited those looking for drinks as well as those who were looking for food as well. It was very casual and could possibly benefit from a hostess position or reservable tables. But we enjoyed our time here so much we actually returned later that week to try more of the menu. What really set this place apart was their spirits in addition to the beer. But the perfectly cooked calamari and delicious pulled pork surprised us as well. I’d buy that cocktail sauce!

In short, it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We ordered the mobile order like is said on the table and we’re prompted to leave a 15% tip…before any service actually took place. By the end of the night Ordered calamari and asparagus nuggets. After a half an hour we got calamari but no asparagus bites. After 45 minutes we got the asparagus bites and the woman told us that most people order those as a meal so that’s why it took so long….nothing about that makes sense. No one orders tiny fried asparagus nuggets as a meal, and even if they did, it’s on the appetizers menu that they put out. At the 45 minute mark we asked if the food was close to ready, and the same woman told us they were very busy but it was close. There were only 4 tables in the place with people at them. That had not received their food yet and most tables were clearing out, the rush had been over for at least 20 minutes. Then after an hour we just walked up to the counter and complained cause we still didn’t have our food. A group of people finally ran out with our food and the original woman who had spoken with us before threw the food on the table in front of our children without a word and almost ran away as we were exclaiming“excuse me, are you even going check who’s food is who’s?” She didn’t even respond and we passed the correct food to the children and apologized to them for the woman’s rude behavior. The food was mediocre at best. I’ve worked in kitchen my whole life and what I got could have come off a flat top grill in under 5 minutes anywhere else. As we are eating, we hear the same woman in conversation behind the counter speaking about us specifically. Her complaint at were that our expectations for food in under 45 minutes was unreasonable etc….at no point did she even seem to care that this was in full view and earshot of us and all the other customers who were also waiting over an hour for their food and also getting tired of the situation. She was in over her depth and completely out of line. They were not short staffed, we can see the employees just standing around. At that point through overhearing the conversation we come to find out that the woman, blond, heavyset, with glasses, has introduced herself as the GM to another group and I was besides myself. The fact that at no point did we have any service at all until we practically begged for it only to have the GM herself throw food at us, ignore us and them publicly talk down about us as if no one was around is pathetic. This seat yourself and order online at the table concept does not work and the GM specifically should find a different place to work rather than a service industry. She clearly has no ability to interact with people and she...

If there was a no star option i would have chose that... I ate here around noon today.. I'm sad at how disappointed I was with this place. I was excited to try it, but honestly wanted to leave as soon as I saw the menu. There are VERY limited options, all of which are highly over priced, and I didn't find their options appealing at all. I also found the beer choices limited and unappealing as well, especially when only 6 of 12 beers are available. I ordered something to eat.. only because I was too embarrassed to just get up and leave! The only thing I was halfheartedly interested in trying was the salad, but I was not willing to pay that price.. So, my mother and I ordered the butternut squash risotto to share (just to get something so we could leave). I wish I had just left... It was so bland, the only impression I had by it, was that I just wasted money. As far as service goes, I'm also highly disappointed. No one was really rude, but no one was really friendly either and our waitress seemed inexperienced. Three weeks open now, and we were sat at a table, where all the chairs and the table rocked. Shouldn't this have already been taken care of? The restaurant was fairly empty, only one booth and one table other then my own was occupied. I told them it rocked and that I'd really rather sit at a booth. I was told I couldn't sit in a booth because they sit people based on the waitresses rotations.. Well I'm not sorry, if it is waitress #1's turn for a table.. They can still have their turn even if I want to be moved to a seat that happens to be in waitress #2's section. Reflecting back, I think it's the thing I'm most upset by, your restaurant was practically empty... And you wouldn't move us... Really?! The only positive thing I can say, is that the guy who shimmed my table was the nicest person I encountered there. Before we left, I think he knew we weren't happy, he asked if he could make anything better. However, we said no, as we were beyond ready to leave. I would say, I would never go here again!! However as I want to support my local small town businesses I would probably try this place again, months down the road, possibly, just to see if there were any changes or ...

I truly wish I could recommend BH because we truly had some positives to our visit. The building is clean and the atmosphere is also great and our food was not disappointing. However there "new way" has made us not want to come back until it's fixed. We arrived and had to grab our own menu's and seat ourselves (simple enough. can look past) Then we sit at the table a few moments to realize people keep getting up. They require you to go order your tables drinks from the bar..and any refills through out meal. We get back to the table with drinks and now we have to go order our food from a back counter, Leaving the table again. then food was dropped off by a "runner" not a wait staff ... No silverwear or napkins, up again to go to the bar to find a dispenser of plastic silverware to choose from..then if you need a side of ranch or side/dip you're required to go request at bar AGAIN... Now, through out our visit here, we talked amongst the table and assumed maybe they're paying the staff a minimum wage and cut out tips due to no wait staff in any capacity? Aside from dropping food alone.... Nope. Got up to go pay tab and was handed a standard slip with a prominent "tip and total" line.... I was shocked. what are we tipping for when essentially we do it all ourselves? I then very respectfully and politely asked a runner (who never checked back in with table) how long before wait staff would be returning and was told "probably not for awhile, we are currently trying to get square so you can do it all from your table" 😳 unfortunately if you're looking for a sit down dining experience I wouldn't recommend this as your up n down through out your WHOLE meal. Now maybe if you come repeatedly and could get a system down it'd be better but the tipping thing should be taken away as we as customers are doing the work when we decided to "go out" for dinner. Personally, for me when I go out I love being waited on and having the connection with a server.. I have served and bartended for almost a decade, and wouldn't expect one if I gave this kind of service...How they expect tips from this type of "service" is very odd.. unfortunately won't be coming back...
