Visited this place today and I can confirm that the few recent 1 star reviews are entirely accurate when it refers to the "disgusting" customer service here, and The Skinny Pancake in general. The one location in Burlington isn't much better, but this one is on a whole different level. Disgusting isn't even a strong word used to rate the kind of hostility and aggressiveness you receive as you walk through the door, and this is specific to the hostess as my encounter with the barista and the cashier was no issues at all. I walked in and immediately heard the hostess yelling at a few patreons ahead of me: "30 minutes wait!!", I was in shock how incredibly rude and intimidating she came across to people who aren't here begging for food, we are here paying to eat! Then it came my turn, telling her that I was aware of the wait, but I would be willing to sit anywhere when there's a spot open. Got my name put down, walked to my friend who was standing by the door to tell her we should walk to the market, then walked up to the hostess to ask if it was okay for us to shop at the grocery next door while we wait. And as I was walking toward her, she said this loudly this in the most condescending, harassing tone: "That is NOT gonna make your turn come faster lady!!!" (???) with her face showing obvious annoyance. I then proceed to tell her that I was not going to say anything about that, I was only about to ask if it was okay to wait next door, and there was no need to raise her voice. She then walked away. Other people witnessed this and was offended for me for how she treated customers. I also witness her calling customers who were waiting, by using pointing her finger at them and repeatedly curling her index finger like she was calling over some dogs, instead of calling their name off of the list in front of her. Extremely disrespectful and disgusting. I have never felt more rage at a local restaurant. I sincerely hope this place would recognize the feedback they're getting regarding this issue and put someone who can just show some of the most basic coutersy that is mandatory in this industry before they lose all business because people WILL take their money somewhere else if you treat them like they're doing you a disservice by coming to eat here. We are not some brainless customers who would tolerate this kind of nonsense hostility just to eat...
Read moreThis was a meeting place, it's a halfway point for me and friends. This is a VERY cute place! They close at 8, seems reasonable but of course we had to be kicked out since they close early and one of my friends ran late. It was a drizzly rainy day, the air conditioning was cranked. I ended up buying a sweatshirt because they didn't have a regular long sleeve. I don't regret my purchase, just don't like I HAD to buy one just sit and eat. It was cold, not from being wet, they must keep it at 62 degrees, I NEVER got warm. My crepe was hot but quickly cooled, I thought they nuked it but it was because of the temperature, when it got cold, it was hard to finish. I enjoyed the food, was grateful they sold sweatshirts and the ambiance was very nice. The coffee is super pricey for the cup size, they charge medium Dunkin price for coffee, an 8 oz cup, I don't think You are allowed refills, my coffee was hot when I first made it but within 10 minutes it got cold, no doubt due the temperature of the room. I sat where I wasn't near a blower but it was breezy. The crepe was large, my whole trip, not counting the $45 sweatshirt, was more than I had anticipated given the limited menu. Almost $4 for one 8 ounce coffee, and $20+ for my food, cute for a tourist but I live here, I didn't think it should be over $25 for one person not counting the tip and I had to get my food and coffee, so I don't really know WHY I was tipping other than they expected it and I don't like to feel like cheapskate. Go for the experience, the food is good, my friend had to get a box due to not being able to finish their food. I don't think my experience should have been $30 but they did get an additional amount since I needed to be warm and they weren't going to turn up the heat simply because someone decided to show up without a long sleeve. They do need to take into consideration, the weather, and adjust the temperature accordingly, I wasn't the only one cold, everyone else was a tourist and had stuff with them, I usually have clothes with me but I didn't have my car, so I had to suffer one way or another. They get 5 stars because I learned a hard lesson, they get the credit: bring clothes everywhere, everytime. Do the math, $30 + $45 (although I was originally told 35), expensive,...

ORIGINAL: I was at the Stowe and Burlington locations multiple times but this is the first time we visited this location. What a mess. Apparently, they got a “really large” order that manager asked them to prioritize, not sure if it was for pick up or delivery, so they stopped servicing all people who were in line inside waiting to place an order. When we came in, the line was huge. We got a table assigned but we were waiting in line for a really long time. Many people just left after waiting long time. No one simply was there to take orders because they were not servicing anyone who was inside the restaurant. The female host in burgundy hat with short hair messed up everyone’s seating so many times. She didn’t take any notes on who she was assigning to which tables so she could would assign someone to the table and ask them to get in line and then she would forget or get confused and assign someone else to the same table. She screwed up things about 4 times. She was very apologetic every time but the point is that she kept messing things up. We had a table assigned but then she assigned someone else to the table that was given a family in line ahead of us. Then, in front of me, she told that family to sit down at our table. I said: you told us this our OUR table. She said: oops, I got confused. This can be easily resolved if she simply used a chart and put people’s names to assigned tables. It’s Hosting 101. Just because they don’t have the very basics down of how a restaurant should function, they create a huge mess at this location. Manager should really give people basic training. Anyway, not recommend and...
