Cinnamon Lane Bakery — Restaurant in Hartland Township

The baked goods cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and brownies are great. The bakery staff and the running of the business are terrible. I had an order that somehow got booked for the wrong day and wasn’t ready and caused hours of delay and extra trips. I decided to try again since the items were really good once I got them. I thought maybe it was just a new employee problem. Next I tried to have a custom cake order and spoke to the owner and sent a bunch of ideas and never heard anything back. Went in to the bakery to try to talk to the owner to see if my order was received and if she was going to make the deadline for my cake for the end of this month and she wasn’t there and still never heard anything back. Ended up ordering a cake from a different place. After two failures within a couple months I can’t recommend this bakery. 2 stars because they make great baked goods, but service and dependability need a lot of focus. Despite the response claims they are not accurate. I never received text response or a call back on my phone that I sent them from. I also did not mix up the day the employee who took my order did because I specifically stated that I needed them for Wed morning and was told that I could not pick them up the day before because they were closed on Tuesdays so would have to pick them up Wed morning and that they would be there by 5:30 in the morning and could hand them to us since I needed them by 8 at the school. The owner was nice and worked to fix it, and said she would have a staff meeting to address it. I do not know why now the story is changing in the response to my review, but that is not an accurate account...

I had a delicious almond cinnamon roll and a delightfully creative “blackberry bourbon latte.” Both surpassed my expectations. Thank you for the delicious treats and reasonable prices!!

My first visit and wow!!! A wonderful new addition to Hartland! Amazingly clean space run by wonderful women. Terrifically remodeled to create a light-filled space with a bakery counter and espresso drinks. They also serve up fun drinks for kids.

There was a small line that moved quickly, although I was surprised to hear a lack of “please” and “thank you” from the older crowd standing in line before me! I was just driving down 59 and saw a sign for “bakery” When I decided to swing in and see what they had. I told the staff I had not been there before and they recommended a cinnamon roll. They asked if I wanted it heated up and when I said no, I was going to share it with my kids when I got home, they threw in a little extra to be shared with them. I Just snuck a bite in the car on the way home and I have to say that’s probably one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had in my entire life. The frosting is perfect cream cheese frosting and the cinnamon roll is crazy fresh. I can’t recommend these...
