Last year, we had a refrigerator leak and ruin our wood floors which needed to be repaired to the tune of $5000. This year, my new refrigerator wasn’t working, and I called them out to see what could be done. I specifically told the repair person that I had just paid a lot of money to have my floors repaired, but he declined to use the floor protectors my husband uses, and instead used his own. Prior to even looking at the refrigerator, I was forced to sign a waiver that released his company of all liability if he damaged my floor. He and I had a very long conversation about him pulling out the refrigerator without damaging the floor and he assured me there wouldn’t be an issue. However, there are extensive scratches to the floor. Because I signed the agreement I felt I had no recourse at all and didn’t even call to complain. Instead, I started getting quotes on getting the floor once again repaired, only to learn it was going to be thousands of dollars more to get it sanded down and re-stained. It wasn’t until later in the year I learned that, indeed, had I initially called the company, they would have come out and repaired my floors. Why would they have you sign a waiver only to tell you later on that they actually would’ve fixed it. Anyhow, I reached out to them and asked them to take a look at the damage that was done. They had me send pictures and they also had a repair person come out and take pictures.
I today learned that they are declining fixing my floor because it is “outside of the service date.“ this is absolute poppycock! If it was outside of the service date for repairing it, why did they even go to the trouble of getting pictures and obtaining additional information from me?
So this is a warning to anybody who considers calling them for repairs that you need to be very careful if you have wood floors, and if you sign the waiver, you still need to call the company and let them know if damage occurs.
I will definitely never use this company again and I would encourage others to find someone else as well. They do NOT put customers first, and then imply you’re lying when you make...
Read moreI dislike giving bad reviews; I like to believe the best in every business. Unfortunately, this was a bad experience.
I called them for service repair since our refrigerator was hissing and they had the highest and best google reviews. They were very communicative about when they would be here. The technician came and found that the water line from the refrigerator was leaking, and had caused damage in the basement. He said we needed to turn the valve off ASAP to stop the dripping. We all looked for the valve; he looked in the room with our surge protector while my mother and I looked around the rest of the basement. The technician said it was likely hidden in the drywall. He said repairs would cost about $208 dollars, but until my mother and I found the valve, could do nothing. He didn't stop the flow in the broken hose (which was leaking upstairs), and left.
Shortly afterwards, we did find the valve -- not in the drywall ceiling -- and turned it off. A family friend bought a nice metal hose, came over later that night, and helped us install a replacement that the tech said we would have had to make an appointment for that would put us out for a few weeks while we have a water-damaged basement to take care of immediately.
When my mother reached out and expressed her concern to the company (not complaint; I did proof the email. As a former customer service worker, I'm very against being rude to companies), they said they would investigate. Their claims came back with "It was his job to diagnose the problem, not fix it. He diagnosed it, so we won't do anything for you." We found this odd, since he didn't even look anywhere else for the valve other than the small room where we have the surge protector. We did more work in looking for it, cleaning the mess, stemming the water flow, getting a new part, and replacing it.
Very disappointed; this company has such stellar reviews, but they are not willing to take responsibility when someone has messed up. As a former service worker, I find this just...very disappointing. Will not...
Read moreThe service call on my dishwasher due to it worked fine but would not drain. I found out you should run at least once every 2 weeks if not the seals in the drain pump will harden up and the pump will stop working. I live by myself so I hand wash and use dishwasher to drip dry. So I was only running my dishwasher once every 6 month to pots & pans so that is 28 times in 14 years. Before I called for service I went on You tube and found a video for my dishwasher and checked everything I could hose, filters, the drain pump blades in the water discharge pump and all was good. I had removed all inside parts before the service. My appointment for Friday between 12 PM to 5 PM at 4:45 PM I received a call from the office stating the service man would not be there until 7 PM so the office took off 1/2for the service call. I received another call from the office at 5:30 PM stating the service man had a cancellation and he is on his way. The service man arrived at 5:50 PM and I informed him I researched everything and it has to be the water discharge pump. the service man removed hoses. water supply and power and pulled out the counter dishwasher. He found the pump was getting power but was not working removed and was free from any obstructions. But the service man did not have one. This pump is very common to many dishwashers and I was very surprised he did not have one he had to order and would take 2- 5 days. The services man put the all part back together. He left at 7:15 PM. I could of called Amazon and got the pump for $56.75 and free shipping in 2 days and install it myself. Right now it is 6:30 PM Friday the following week and has not received a call from the office stating they have the pump and setup an install time. I will call the following Monday. I also call 2 other repair services and they stated they have the pump stocked. When I set up the service a week before I gave the office the make and model # so they should have made sure they had the common parts to repair...
