King Buffet — Restaurant in Hastings

I am a chef from St.Louis Mo. As I do on all my business trips I sample the local cuisine. Having a hankering for seafood and a lot of it I came to king buffet. My thought was "with a name like that how could it suck" oh the lies we tell ourselves 🙄 food selection was poor, staff were Unattentive, and were all just having a good ol time as if they were the only ones in the restaurants. They were chilling, face timing, and ignoring their guest. Considering the name I thought for sure the king crab would be the star of the show. Unfortunately they were more like a needle in a haystack. The crab legs I saw came out in,I kid you not, bunches of 6 legs. Patrons stood with plates in hand with the quickest rout to the steam table planned out. The minute the little man emerged from the back with quite a large pan for the ration of six (yes 6) little legs costumers made their ways with haist. It was like something out of the hunger games. I managed to get myself a ration of the prized 6 legs. After seeing the tension building among the others in the restaurant I decided to leave. I paid my bill and let the young lady know how poor of an experience it was and her reply was "its ok". She told me next time I need to bring me guest check, as I had left it on my table, the tension was something else I could have picked it up with chop sticks, I quickly replied 'oh there will not be a next time. Please tell your chef what a disappointment this was" SHE SMERKED AT ME and again said "its ok". Let me say king buffet did not live up to its name. It should be called rations. It most definitely is not ok to change people for such a bad experience. What a shame. If you find yourself in haistings keep driving and you'll find a McDonalds right down the street. Someone could made alot of money opening a restaurant that wanted people...

This place is the worst buffet I've ever been to im from denver Colorado came to visit family and came here to eat all together went to serve found and immediately found a toothpick in my food and hair !! Not to mention how they got upset when i tried to politely tell them in private and they made me say it out loud like i was lying!! I chewed the toothpick imagine if i had swallowed!!! I work all week i look forward to meal from here to be treated like they treated me ive never left a review in my life but this place made everything so uncomfortable i couldn’t keep quiet i still tried giving them a chance before going to get take out aside from still paying for the food they give you a tiny box and still limit you in what to put in so absurd!! I grew up here and have brought my kids here before learning you can do take out and cant believe the way they treat customers now when theres a problem even if you are polite addressing the problem in a calm matter or even trying to be private and helpful they are still EXTREMELY RUDE getting in your face yelling!!! The amount of mugging they did to me was ridiculously uncomfortable as soon as they saw me upset they back up but it shouldn’t have to be to that extent if i need to defend myself i will I do not recommend this place at all its the only buffet here in Hastings and they mistreat their paying customers...

I had to choose a star i would have givin them none but you know. They have terrible customer service. Today i went and all of the food was cold. Their excuse was that its late in the day mind you it was 3 PM. No matter what time in the day it is we should not be served cold food. We found a hair in a 3 year olds food. They tried to deny it was hair. They said chinese peoples hair is brown. Yes but it was a small hair like something of an animal. Another excuse was that people walk around all day. Yeah but their food should be changed out often. Yet it wasn’t it was still cold. When confronted all together about this one of the employees copped an attitude. Then they started speaking in a different language which was fine but if your speaking to an english speaking customer you dont do that. Its obvious that you dont want us to know what your saying therefore makes us think its about us. They gave us 10% off for the hair being in there food. They said we give people ten percent off when they find hair in their food. So its happened more than once? Wow. All together my experience...
