Was traveling through this area with a family member who had heard that there was a "The Place" in Hatch for breakfast. Mind you, Hatch UT barely qualifies as a "wide spot in the road". There was only one qualified candidate: Sevier Coffee. First and foremost, this is primarily a coffee shop. I think the coffee menu board had between 12 and 15 (more?) items. I like good coffee but have simple taste: I had an Americano (black). The hot breakfast menu had 7 to 9 items (1 or 2 were vegetarian but not vegan). We both had the "Bacon Breakfast Burrito". If you're familiar, it was just a bit smaller than a Chipotle® burrito. (!!!) Scrambled egg, fried diced potatoes, bacon (not really that much - my only criticism?) in a flour tortilla, heated to slightly crispy around the edge, with a side of thick salsa. My relative couldn't finish and took the remainder for later. We were so impressed, even though we had moved campsites, we went back the next day. I repeated my order, my relative switched to the "Bacon (something?) Croissant". We also split an Almond Danish. (Delish! Perfect flakyness [sp?]) While we didn't ask, we are both convinced that someone there has attended a culinary school and specialized in baking/pastry. We both believe that both the croissant and the danish were made onsite and not purchased from a supplier. We have no evidence - I wish they hadn't been so busy or I'd have asked. The first day we stopped, we both needed to make use of the "facilities". There are 2. Both unisex. Accessed from outside, not the shop interior - always a red flag for what's behind the door. I have never, ever, been in an 'outside access only' bathroom so clean! I complemented them on it! Minor issue - turn on either the hot or cold tap for the sink and, water leaked from around the cold water handle. I didn't even tell them, they may not know. Extremely minor. For a breakfast, some might find it a bit pricey. The Burrito was $10, the Croissant $9 the smaller of 2 coffee sizes was (I think) $3.50 each. But well worth it. You get your money's worth in quality. The staff was polite. There is minimal seating indoors (a bar with 4 stools); more outside (4 picnic tables). Hours are only 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (which reinforces my opinion they are baking before 7 and going home to sleep after 2! Seriously! If you are anywhere near Hatch Utah between 7 and 2, stop by for a good coffee, a good, fresh breakfast or (if there are any left) croissant. This is not a made up review. This is either the longest or 2nd longest review I've written for Google. Usually only for the best things I've found. (You have to be really bad to get a bad review from me.) But these people running this place, they deserve your business. Thank you, Sevier Coffee for 2 great starts to my day!

This place is awesome. You can make pretty much everything on the menu vegan and/or gluten-free which is amazing for a small town like this. The barista working there was super friendly and helpful and she made our drinks in like two seconds. They have oat, almond, soy, and coconut milk too if you prefer dairy-free. Food took maybe ten minutes at most and was delicious especially considering the relatively low prices. I went there at around 9 am on a week day and there were a few other people around but it wasn't packed and I barely had to wait at all. I think it took me a totally of 15-20 minutes from the moment I walked through the door to when I left with all my food and coffee. I can totally see why people love this place and why it has a five-star rating. Definitely recommend!!

Super cute coffee shop in a small town. I'm roadtripping from Denver to Vegas, and haven't had a hot breakfast in 4 days. I stopped as prior reviews said they had gluten free options. It also appears to be the only thing open at 7am on Tuesday morning. The girls were very nice and helpful. The menu itself doesn't say gluten free, but they do have GF bagels and bread. I'm also dairy free, and they checked to make sure that my breakfast bagel was safe. Great coffee, good food, nice atmosphere. They also have some cute souvenirs, a good size patio out front, and an attached laundromat if you're traveling like me.

My husband came here because all of the stellar reviews. So I had a moderate level of expectations considering what I had read online as well as the steep price for 2 medium lattes and an egg and cheese sandwiches which came out to over $30.

To begin with, the barista messed up my coffee order twice. The first time she made me a hot latte instead of what I requested which was an ice latte. The second time she didn’t add any sweetener as I requested.

The third amusement was when my food came out. My husband and I are both vegetarians and after my husband ordered an egg and cheese sandwich, I explicitly stated that “ I too would like the same sandwich.” When my order came out, I was repulsed to find bacon in it. In addition, the cheese was not melted and the egg was definitely warmed up in a microwave.

It gets worse, when I walked up to the male cashier and explained that I am a vegetarian and that I found bacon in my sandwich, he insisted that I ordered a bacon sandwich. Lol Let’s say that hypothetically I ordered a bacon sandwich and then I return it why would you argue otherwise? You are insinuating that I lied about being a vegetarian and not ordering bacon. What motive could I possibly have in ordering something I wouldn’t eat? lol

Ok I thought my amusement would end here but it didn’t. I offered to buy something else from the menue but the feminine looking male cashier insisted that he just refund me. I was relieved h offered a refund because I can’t imagine anything from this cafe being of quality. So then he asked if I would like a reciept, I responded yes and he responded it’s been returned to your account and my response was how could it have been returned? I payed in cash! lol I felt like I was in a twilight zone and I pray that nobody experiences the poor treatment, service and food...
