Stopped for Lunch on our way to Gulf Shores. Google reviews are spot on. Leonardo was there by himself but the Man can cook. Steak was perfect medium rare, chicken lunch special was hot moist and delicious and the sides were well seasoned. Great cheeseburgers with slabs of bacon, and the star of our meals was his take on a club sandwich. The meaty, cheesy deliciousness in the picture on the sub roll. Huge sandwich and all grilled on the flat top with two slabs of super thick cut bacon. As others have mentioned, prices are extremely reasonable since it includes a side and drink. Only regret is we only go through Hattiesburg once a year, but we’ll definitely be back.

Bert’s is amazing home cooking at great prices. Everything I’ve had there is delicious. Tons of soul in the menu. I’m a creature of habit and they’ve got the best shrimp po boy in town, huge covered with tons of shrimp. Shrimp po boy with fries and drink is 11$. Great prices. Great food. Great staff. Bert is always holding it down, so make sure to call first to verify if they are open. If you are a Hattiesburg native or just visiting, Berts and Cynt’s is a local restaurant that is a must try.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We brought a party of 14 people in, driving from Florida to Texas. We were not expecting them to be able to accommodate us due to location being smaller & in the same shopping center of the gas station, BUT THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL!
