My family and I have been going to this location for YEARS! Today our neighborhood was hit with a massive storm that caused our power to go out. When trying to figure out where to sleep and eat and how keep our food from going bad in our fridge, my husband and I decided to go to this panera for a quick dinner so that our three children wouldn’t have to eat in a pitch black house.
When we arrived, I asked if orders where being taken at the counter or at the kiosk? They seemed like they were busy so I said, “I will make your life easy and order from the kiosk.” The worker behind the counter seemed relieved that he wouldn’t be bothered by me….
I ordered 3 bowls of kids mac n cheese, 1 half sandwich and small bowl of soup. I knew it was busy because other families had the same idea we had.
My kids and I waited 20 minutes before they started asking where their food was, so I checked the order screen and saw 5 names ahead of me and 4 names under me. Another 5 minutes went by and I started to notice the names under me be completed before me. Then finally our buzzer rang that our good was done.
I went to pick up my food but no food was on the counter, I wait at least 10 more minutes before I ask where my food is and the shift manager siad it was next, I then asked him if all if the other orders were completed before mine and he said, “Yes they came in before you.” I then said “A family came in after me and they left 10 minutes ago. They sat down ate and left.” There were at least 5 orders that were made and consumed by other customers. Of course they all left the restaurant before me. How does this make sense?
So finally I received my food that was incorrect and in a to go bag, I then tell my kids to eat as it was now 45 minutes waiting for our food.
The shift manager and another employee proceed to tell me that they were closing and that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant.
I lost it!!!!! I said my kids have a house with no power and you’re gonna tell me that we can’t sit here for five minutes and quickly eat after waiting for almost an hour???? You guys have got to be kidding me!!! The shift manager then says, “ I don’t know what’s going on in your personal life, but whatever it is I’m sorry” I said whats going on is a damn storm that gave me no power as well as every single one of your customers here within the last 4 hours!!!! This kid had no clue how to be a decent human being!!!
I could go on about these employees, but there aren’t words to truly describe how horrific they made me feel. They shouldn’t be in the industry and maybe need some more training on their time management skills.
Needless to say, I will never eat here again!!!!
Oh, and food...
Read moreNormally this place is exelcent but today's trip I had issues with the up keep of the place. The table we sat at was not clean and I noticed other small bits of trash around. The food was Exelcent as always. Their soups are awesome! On saturday a month later Avoid this place for breakfast!! I have eaten here for Dinner with very few issues but Saturday morning I went there for a bagel and cream cheese. After placing the order I expected the cashier to get it out of the basket, slice it, toast it and bag it so I can be on by was. However this is not what happened. I was instead sent to the pick up area and I waited and waited and waited and other got their orders and I continued to wait. I finally said something and they quickly got the bagel but no cream cheese. When I told them I ordered cream cheese they flat out tell me I did not, I ordered butter. So I had to show them the receipt to show them I paid $1.39 for a little tub of cream cheese. Then I askeed for a manager. This young guy shows up and has this attitude like I was wasting his time and he actually asked "what do you expect me to do about this?" My advice, avoid this location. There are other panera breads close by with much better service. This is the 5th or 6th time I have had an issue at...
Read morePanera bread is extremely overrated. I went there mainly because of how well everyone else makes it seem, but I'm greatly disappointed. First of all, we get there, it's a beautiful place, and we were greeted by a very nice cashier. Eventually, on the screen where we make the payment, I see a "tip your waiter" option, so I tip $2, expecting a waiter. Afterward, I was told to find a table and I received a buzzer. Judging from the option on the screen, I thought I would have a waiter, but when the buzzer went off, I was instructed to go to a table with my order on it. No waiter whatsoever. I was informed by a fellow customer that I have to get my own food. If I was told this before I had given my $2 to who knows who, this wouldn't have been a probem, but since I was offered the chance to tip my "waiter" I did. Complete lies. I take my food back to my table and eventually taste the fact that it is VERY microwaved. My mother ordered a serving of soup and it tasted the exact same as the microwavable minestrone soup I get from Walmart. I ordered a grilled cheese which was extremely mediocre, and a chicken Alfredo which I received cold. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service...
