This past Sunday , August 9th My uncle and I visited this chipotle on Haverford Avenue. Upon arrival yes, it was busy with three other guest ahead of us. However, the Food table in which the burritos and bowls are made was extremely caked with all sorts of sauces, meats, lettuces and other Ingredients. I asked the Young lady, if she could wipe down the counter as the burrito for the guest in front of me had touched those ingredients. 🤢
The young lady went and got a wet rag And barely wipe the table clean, neither was a Dry towel used to clean the wet surface. Asking then for a manager, the young lady with the long braids who stated she was the manager, asked if I could give them time as there was a long line. I mean I was a part of that long line, about to pay for an item that I desired to eat which is the reason for my presence, and should be served with the utmost Cleanliness.
I then proceeded to ask the young lady positioned in making the bowl or burrito, if she could grab two pieces of foil so that my burrito would not touch the now residue of wet food that was not thoroughly wiped!
A gentleman then came with a towel And spray bottle rubbing and circular motion, the spots on the table But did not thoroughly clean once again. I literally just walked out because I refuse to pay for food in which is not offered in a clean environment! The total lack and disregard of my request as a paying customer is absurd.
Thank you for the unsanitary employees working that day who could not meet a basic request to ensure my health and safety to enjoy such a delicious savory stir fry. I took my money to Honeygrow and had a lovely lunch!

Read moreI am updating my review, just had the worst experience at this location, I had written a 5 star review (see below) and loved this location!!Staff is always friendly and helpful. I received nothing but attitude from two of the senior employees tonight. They were not serving the proper proportions and when I asked for the proper amount they took a small pinch and made eye contact while putting it on the food. I asked for more again, and the same like it was some kind of sick joke to them. I don't know what kind of bad day was being had, but I paid for 3 meals which were all underwhelming, the actually quality was good, but everything past the meat selection was poor. The cashier acted like he had better things to do, reorder and didn't label the meals which usually is rather easy to sort out when returning home, tossed them all in the bag. Also huffed when asked to scan my rewards, prior to my paying he had also walked away and engaged someone off to the side in conversation while the line continued to grow. This was my favorite chipotle and loved how amazing the staff was here. I was nothing but friendly and pleasant while they continued to mess the order up. I don't typically write bad reviews, it takes several issues and carelessness to warrant a review such as this one. Read moreThis store used to be good at one time but now is a disaster. Last time I went in they are on a 2+ hour backup, unfortunately I didn't know this until I after ordered.
I waited for over an hour and a half watching orders leave randomly. One person would finally get food waiting for 20 mins, others waited over 2 hours to hear the manager come out at 10PM and tell us it was closing time and their work shift was done for the night. Nobody was getting food because they were finished working. In the meantime the crowd of people waiting for food kept complaining because one of the workers kept eating the chips while working on the line. haha wth!
When we got the news no more food was coming, some people raised questions about how they'd be able to get their money back through the app, but the manager wasn't able to show them how to do it and told them to google it.
But for the people who were leaving he DID tell someone he "was even madder about this whole thing than we were" which was obviously 'comforting news' to all of us that never got our meals...
I mean I can't even IMAGINE how maddening it was for him though to collect his paycheck through all of that! I only had to spend money for something and wait around for hours just to leave hungry because I never got the food I paid for but didn't get my money back from.
Guess my next chipotle meals will NEVER be...
