CHECK YELP REVIEWS!! DURING EVENTS THE STAFF WILL TELL PEOPLE TO GIVE 5 STAR GOOGLE REVIEWS TO GET FREE DRINKS, SHIRTS, OR BINGO TICKETS!!
This place use to be able to bring me and so many others so much joy on Monday nights for bingo, but now? Its the worst place to go for anything,
The staff that were once so kind and friendly are now rude and demanding, disrespecting paying customers for no other reason then they can. The food quality has changed for the worse and the people now are nosey and knit pick all you do.
Bingo nights are now the worst nights and have added a million rules around it; for one they no longer offer reservations for tables on Monday night due to bingo traffic, my table (table 11) was always filled with myself and three other women and we always showed up just like all the other regulars but they literally let one bad apple ruin it for everyone and claimed it was for "waitress convience". Secondly, they feel the need to police HOW you play bingo. No dabber? Can't play. Have a bingo bag? Sorry can't play. You use chips to mark because you have nothing else? You will be insulted. Didn't get any dabs on the last card you played? You will be rudely asked to leave by people who do not work here and instead of letting you be staff will agree you are wrong.
They make rules up as they go and will just demand you leave rather then let you be when you pay for food and drinks. I loved this place, now I can never come back.
If i could give this place zero stars, it would still be to many.
P.S do not take the reviews at face value! They tell people they will get free stuff if they leave 5 star reviews! Thats not a joke its just because they know how...
Read moreUpon walking into the pub, no one greeted us. After looking around for a minute or two, I found a woman sitting off in a corner at table in the back. I then asked if she worked here (her answer was yes) and then if we just sit anywhere (also a “yes”). After ordering a soup, beer, and two entrees, we waited another ten to fifteen minutes with nothing. I waved for our waitress’s attention, ordered a hot tea and asked her about the beer (it came about 3 minutes afterwards).
After waiting ANOTHER 20 minutes, we still had no food (including my soup). I asked the waitress if it normally takes this long…she indicated that there was a party.
After 30 minutes of no food and VERY limited interaction with our waitress, I approached her and asked for the check for my tea and the beer. At this point, I was noticeably perturbed about the lack of communication regarding the wait.
Fast forward, our food came out about 10 minutes later…and that was the restaurant’s saving grace…because the food was delicious.
I chalk our experience up to limited staffing with a focus on the party they were hosting…and lack of good customer service. I am understanding to a party and/or limited staffing…but communication is key. To me, I got the impression that our waitress was fairly young, minimal experience with serving, perhaps related or close friends with the owner and/or filling in for someone … either way, if it matters, I’d recommend encouraging managers to reminding their staff about greeting customers as well as communicating with them timely regarding delays/unforeseen...
Read moreI was at a party for my friend's 40th birthday. Her girlfriends put the party together and did a phenomenal job and to say phenomenal is an understatement I mean she pulled out all the stops. Thanks Teen for the best birthday bash ever. It might have been because I haven't been to a party in almost 10 years lol no I'm playing she did just a great job and Peggy Sue Nesbitt is very lucky to have you! The atmosphere in the bar itself when you walk in it is overcrowded it smells like beer and Red Bull and vodka and just a bunch of kids drinking I know I sound ancient but I did it once upon a time I don't know how because it was like oh God I actually did this. The initial walk into the bar was very very crowded then they had a back bar that was way better and the bartender was amazing and it just so happened to be my neighbor from my Upper Darby days who lived across the street from me. Shout out to Bobby Lonergan. My younger sister and I walked up to him and thinking he would recognize this right away since we lived across the street from each other for our whole lives up until we moved in 2002 he had no clue who we were my younger sister was pretty young when we left but still it was funny I mean I know when my entire life once I said Alana Kate he knew exactly who we were and my oldest sister walked up and he was like oh hi Lauren what's up I mean you knew...
