Sparky's Wings and Things — Restaurant in Haverhill

first time going to sparky's in a year. Things have changed. First there wings are bigger than normal, definitely not party wing size. They came to the table looking a little pale not the usual crispy looking. We got the hot rods cause wanted a little kick. First bite, not crunchy and a big blob of fat. The fat was thick and rubbery. I spit it out and just picked through for the neat. The sauce was not spicy didn't taste like buffalo and left a soy sauce smell on my fingers. I took second wing and there was blood on bone, I stoped eating them and went too the bones less wings. They were a lot better crispy and tasted good. When done they asked how it was, and I spoke up and said terrible. Well they got defensive and stated I should of asked for well done. Chicken wings are suppose to be crunchy and shouldn't have to ask well done. I said wing size he changed and again got pissy with me and said chicken wings are never the same size. Well I buy party wings all the time and they are always the same size. I don't know what is going on there but I will never go back. Terrible wings, terrible customer service, and terrible response from a customer complaint. I gave it a one star but should be 0. So sad cause that was our favorite wing place and now I guess illl be...

I think they should really consider reducing the menu and maybe focus on making like 10 or 15 core flavors. So far I've tried maybe 7 or 8 of the different flavors (and admittedly most of the ones I have tried have fallen into the Buffalo wings category) but most of them have a very light flavor and a certain same-ness to them.

I have tried the regular buffalo all the way up to the double trouble wings and honestly could not detect any difference in heat. I finally opted to get the ghostrkder wings, and while spicy were nothing more than a mild kick with a bit of a slow burn after.

Maybe it has been mentioned in a previous review, but many of their wings sauces have this strange glistening oily rubbery feel to them, like they put too much oil and not enough of everything else.

Other than the wings I have also tried their fries which are very bland and a burger which was also just average.

TLDR: Average wings. Should probably cut down the menu and focus on making each of the flavors unique...

Simply put: Poor food. Got chili cheese dog, Cajun fries, pulled pork sandwich and nacho burger.

Chili dog was fine, pork sandwich is smaller than you probably are expecting but for the price it's decent good if u like pickles.

Fries are frozen with a generic Cajun seasoning. I mean, it's what I was expecting so I wasn't disappointed.

Then there is the nacho burger. It was actually repulsive. Ate half and threw the rest out. Burger was chewy, and tasted like it was cooked way before hand. Meat doesn't look appetizing. Burger slides around cause of toppings, not enough quac, too much sour cream, and when the bun slides all the pickled jalapenos fall out. Maybe add some Mexican spices to the meat before you cook it. Ground corriander and cumin, plus some other spices would do it justice .

Prices arent about right for what your getting so, I haven't tried wings or any chicken. That is probably Poppin but I'm not a big chicken...
