Did not know it was under new management as of January 1, 2023. Now our recent visit makes sense. The service was not the same and 4 out of 6 of us did not enjoy our food.
Our pasta was so dry, it seemed as if it was either under cooked or mass made and left out under a warmer. The chicken piccata that I usually order was not the same, the cappers and chicken was disappointingly dry. It was difficult to eat so I took most of it home and added my own sauces. The waiter forgot to put in my husband and my order for their signature Caesar salad. Another server heard me mention it because we noticed another table having theirs prepared. Our server came out later with two very small plates for each of us and he inappropriately half hugged me from behind and apologized. This made me very uneasy!
The dressing is the best part but a gnat flew out of my salad!
It was not very busy (Monday evening) with more than enough staff walking around but we kept asking for assistance from whoever was closest because our server did not frequent our table at all.
We waited so long for our bill and we could have honestly just walked out without anyone knowing. We headed out, the hostess was cheerful and said goodbye. But of course, we asked her for our bill and paid at the front door.
So disappointed because this was our favorite...
Read moreThe food and service are great, but they close crazy early.
We arrived about 30 minutes before closing time. The place was packed with people waiting to be seated. Why they close so early is difficult to understand.
The spaghetti and the lasagna are great, your meal comes with bread and you can order a small salad for only 8 dollars more. About half the staff are still wearing masks, this made me feel unsafe. I do recommend getting there as late as possible. The acoustics are not good, this it's a noisy restaurant. On the night we were there, a large party was present and the noise was so bad some of the people at nearby tables were LITERALLY putting their fingers in their ears. You would think that when the people at the large party saw others putting their fingers in the years they would try to lower the sound level, but no. Not the restaurants fault. The owners seem to be aware of the bad acoustics and they have installed some sound absorbing materials. I can't imagine what the place would be like without this. All things considered, I do recommend this restaurant. Surprisingly, they do not have Coke Zero, but they do...
Read moreI don't know why it says average price as 33, it was more like around 20-30. Anyways, i've been here twice so far. I still favor this over Olive Garden. I'm a soldier at schofield barracks so i thought i'd try this nearby place out..When the place isn't full, you get immediately seated, you immediately get hot bread(amazing) and butter(somewhat cold butter when i went, which makes it hard to use when hard), and immediately asked if we'd like an appetizer and what not. The food came out pretty fast. My only issue is that i would only take 2 sips out of my water and the waiter filled my cup for every 2 sips. It became kind of annoying. It's nice to have water, but he wouldn't let it drop below 3 quarters. He would fill it up, go to fill up 2 more tables waters, and hit my table again on the way back. what the hell lol. anyways, everything else was good aside from that slight annoyance. My friends thought it was great too. Will still go back again. P.s., this restaurant was in the Hale Aina 2012 awards for the best italian...
