One star. I’m truly sorry to leave such a negative review, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience.
I placed a to-go order and was told I’d have time to pick it up before closing. The restaurant closes at 9:00 PM, and I rushed to arrive by 8:53. In my hurry, I didn’t notice a “section closed” sign and walked toward the area near the register, where I assumed pickup would be. I didn’t touch anything — I just quietly stood, waiting for someone from the staff.
Moments later, a staff member banged on the kitchen window and aggressively gestured at me. He then stormed out and yelled, “What do you want?” I calmly explained I was there for pickup and gave my name. He shouted back that the section was closed and I had no right to be there. I acknowledged the sign but said it could’ve been handled more respectfully. He continued to speak in a harsh and condescending tone.
I paid, picked up my order, and left — without leaving a tip, because the experience deeply affected me. He later came out and handed me ginger, which I had already declined — maybe trying to make up for his outburst, but never apologized.
I’m not a confrontational person. Raised voices are extremely difficult for me to process — this left me shaken, upset, and with no appetite. It ruined the experience entirely.
Even if I made a mistake walking into a closed section, there’s a basic human way to communicate. Aggression and yelling are never acceptable — not for a staff member, not toward a guest.
As for the food: the sushi was okay, the soup — not enjoyable. 3/5 at best.
This review is not out of anger, but as a call for awareness. Everyone has bad days, but it’s important to treat each other with respect. Especially in hospitality — how we speak to each...

Appreciate that they are able to do platters within 30 minutes of calling.
Very sweet customer service and great at answering the phone every time.
App is available, but the app doesn't have any perks for using it, and also has NO pictures (odd...) and the website does.
Platters come wrapped up when you arrive. However, they are meager compared to other comparable places for about the same money and do not look like any of their photos. We were embarrassed showing up to a family home recently, because when we unwrapped the party platters, at least one was 30-40% empty space. Not even plastic green separators to try to fill in the empty spots. It looked like they were trying to stretch the fish or someone had taken pieces out. Not what you expect when paying that price.
This is the 3rd time we've tried this location since it's close to family and we want to support local, but this has happened each time. I held off a review in the hopes it would get better, but this last time was the worst. Maybe this is a "Covid-lean" kind of thing and they'll return to their usual beautiful platters when times are better. But...we won't return unless we're in a bind. We wanted to love them much more; sorry, Ninja Sushi....

I was disappointed in the service I received this past Saturday. I ordered a platter to take to a family gathering. I was running a little late to pick up my order, so I gave a courtesy call to let them know I was running late. The girl who answered placed me on hold for a while, so I hung up. When I got there, my order was canceled. They said they called me, and the person who answered said they didn't want the order. I showed them my call log and said I didn't receive a call from them. The manager was sweet, apologized, and reordered my order. But, the guy working that day mumbled under his breath to his coworker, "You don't tell us 'you're running a little late.'" That pissed me off!!! My daughter came in (she works in food service) and asked what number they called, and they repeated my number. My daughter said we didn't get a call from them and told him how dare he disrespect me by mumbling under his breath. The guy said there were two people with my name. But my daughter gave it to him. The other cashier came out with our order and handed it to my daughter apologizing. We get that you folks get busy, but you don't have to lie. The customer service I got that day...
