Earl's — Restaurant in Hawaii

Earls is great local plate lunch. I tend to like the sandwiches, and if you get in before 8 am they will make you a custom sandwich(I get the fish/egg combo) and its so much better hot off the grill! They also carry a few bakery goods from Standard Bakery, which is one of the Big Island secrets for yummy baked treats.

Tourists, if you want to eat like you live here, and have somewhere you can go to eat take-out, this is a great choice (especially if you're headed from wet side to dry side, as it's all right turns) What it is: the best value for yummy lunches in town. Disappointed that the lady who ordered before me got much more than I did and we ordered the same size lunch plate. I’m not sure if it was a local/tourist thing but it was obvious that I got much less food the other people in line. She had 3 pieces of chicken and I had one tiny piece in the to-go box.
