I had such high hopes for this place. I decided to try this place out for our Sunday breakfast after reading everyone's rave reviews. But within minutes of walking in this place, I was disappointed.
We showed up around 0930 on Sunday morning. They were moderately busy, but they still had quite a few tables available for seating. We were greeted by the hostess and were told to wait to be seated. She began to seat us at a regular table top, but I stopped to ask her if we could be seated at the open booth in the back. She said no. Like, flat out no. She paused and said that those are reserved for parties of 4 or more. I looked and saw a young couple sitting back there, still going through their menu. A party of 3, sitting waiting for their food I presumed, and a middle aged couple eating their food. Okay.... I just preferred sitting at the booth because it made things a little easier with my 1 year old son instead of having him sit in those uncomfortable high chairs.
We sat down and started going through the menu and the waitress brought us some water. I was a little bugged out to see the prices of their food there. Maybe it's just me but for the sampler I got; $12 for some eggs, bacon, French toast and fruit, plus $3 for a small plate of hashbrowns... but I thought that was a little high for a small corner breakfast restaurant. I just prayed that the food was amazing like my fellow Yelpers had said.
While waiting for my food to arrive, I grabbed my spoon to give to my son to occupy him and noticed that the spoon looked a little greasy. Could have been just the glare, but when I touched it I knew it wasn't. The whole spoon was covered in it. Ew.
When our waiter came back with our food, I asked for a new spoon and hoped that my food was amazing. It was not. Don't get me wrong, it was good but it wasn't $15 for one person good. Everything was cooked well, but nothing wowed me. They made their French toast with sweet bread and if I'm not mistaken there was a hint of coconut oil in their butter which was a nice touch and unexpected. They also offered a coconut syrup which was yum on top of the toast. My husband had the Idahoan omelette which I sampled. I didn't think it was very good, but he didn't mind it.
While eating our meal, my husband and I both witnessed something that blew our mind. A mother with her 3 children walked in. The mother was carrying a clear cup with orange juice in it. They waited to be seated but then they told her she needed to leave and as they did not allow outside food. I didn't think that it was the serious, but apparently they would rather lose a whole table's worth of income than have their customers bring in a cup of juice.... And why didn't they just ask her to discard her cup?! When they were walking out, me and my husband gave each other wide eyes. I mean, you just don't see that happen. Glad I left my son's hydroflask in the car... then again, had we brought it in, it might have saved us the visit. LOL.
All in all, it wasn't a horrible place to eat, it just wasn't for me and my family based on customer service and price. I probably won't be back as I would prefer to go someplace like Denny's or Koa Pancake house up the road for less money and the same quality of food with most likely better customer service, even though I would have to spend that extra 5-10 mins one...

Those who want the long story, here it goes. Despite having plenty of food options around our way, we decided to make the extra 30 minute drive to Kountry Kitchen, Ewa Beach. The specials were highly recommend by our waitress so we didn't even bother checking our menus. We were seated and our orders placed in a matter of minutes. However, it wasn't until FORTY MINUTES later we reached out and asked how much longer it'd be. At that point our waitress said, "we're actually completely out of both items you ordered. Your food will not be coming out." She immediately offered us our check for the single coffee we'd consumed. We paid and started to leave. I then headed back to speak with the host since we didn't find the situation fair at all. I kindly asked him if there was any way they would void our coffee bill due to the inconvenience. He very apologetically stated he'd go ask his manager.
The manager finally meets me and I asked if she had been informed of the situation. She very loudly and abruptly says, "no, I've been very busy cooking". As I calmly explained my concern she cuts me off and says, "so what? You want $3 back?" She continued to yell "is it the card ending in number **?" At this point, the entire dining area watched as she refunded our bill. "Ok, it's done" was the last thing she said to me as she stormed off. My jaw hit the ground as I stood there in disbelief with her attitude and demeanor towards me.
Terrible customer service (not once did the manager apologize or even felt an ounce of remorse for the inconvenience) and I can't even rate the food because IT NEVER CAME OUT!
I understand everyone has a different experience but based on our visit today, it's needless to say we will never...
Read moreI swear I Ordered a cheese omelet and they brought out an omelet with ham and cheese.. informed them that I do not eat ham on my omelet, so they brought out another omelet that was cheese only.. they charged me for both and did not inform me prior to remaking the omelet.. if I was told prior to, I would of never ordered another omelet. I would have ate the pineapples and taken out the ham. The manager? came out after I ate to inform me they were charging me for both because they repeated the order.. I did not hear her repeat the order nor would I have asked for it to be fixed if they were going to charge me twice! I only come here because it is close to our home but I will NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN!l This is unprofessional and for them to charge me twice for something that I did not order and expect pay was ridiculous. I paid for the meal but I also took pictures of the receipt for pay and the food that was left because it’s obviously not what I requested.. I will post this issue and a video of the issue on my instagram and Facebook to warn my followers of how this restaurant operates! Please be mindful when spending here, because they will charge you regardless and will not inform you until after the charge. If no stars was an option I would leave none!
Update: proof in response in the type of customer service they offer. If you have video I give permission to please post on your page and tag me. I give you full permission to use my likeness in your review response.. and I’m waiting! Beware customer WHEN ORDERING, if you are not satisfied and they fix it, they WILL CHARGE YOU TWICE, FOR THE BAD AND RIGHT ONE WITHOUT INFORMING YOU!
