Bann Thai — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Last night was an “off” night in my home for dinner aka no one wanted to cook. I wanted something light but flavorful & Bann Thai DID NOT disappoint at all! The staff was polite, patient, & informed on the dishes I inquired about before making a choice. I ordered the Summer rolls & Spicy Basil Chicken. All dishes were made to order fresh which I appreciated very much. The Spicy Basil Chicken came out piping hot, cooked just right & packed a ton of flavor. The veggies also held the flavor while still maintaining a slight crunch. Soooo good! I live in Ewa so I’ll definitely return soon to try a few more dishes, however, the introduction to the new team of this restaurant went well to say the least....

I’m a Thai food lover, and I have to say everything I had tasted terrible. No flavor, no heat, and it didn’t match the pictures that they have on their website. My papaya salad was basically shredded papaya, tomato and pure fish sauce poured over it no heat no peanuts no flavor. Vegetables in the green curry were burnt. I didn’t realize there’s an excellent Thai restaurant right near me, a friend took me yesterday. I had the spicy Thai basil with pork, he had pineapple fried rice with beef. We split fried calamari and spring rolls and I topped it off with Thai iced coffee. Everything was delicious, spiciness just right, great service, good sized portions and reasonable prices.
