Il Dolce — Restaurant in Hawthorne

They never have consistent pricing. Be extremely careful because they are scammers. They add pastries to your box and come up with a price but don'tclear the scale, then they add additional different type of pastries to your box and coming up with an additional price. When they go to add up on register they say there is an additional per item price. So they triple dip. When you point out to the young girl employees they start screaming at you (like children caught lying and stealing do) with other customers in line. When I had them re-weigh everything separately the total came to be $10 less than originaly totaled. I am a professional educated woman and the fact that they tried to scam me is beyond unorthodox especially for a local business. I would never go back or recommend them based on a lack of customer service and the fact that they always want to scam...

I just recently moved into Hawthorne a few months ago and I was dying to find a Bakery that just made pastries and cookies along with more great stuff and when I found ll Dolce I fell in love lol. By far the best Bakery out there. Staff is super friendly and the owner is very nice as I got to meet him last night when I went in to pick up these amazing goodies. I absolutely love everything in there but these remind me of my good old days from when I was younger. I went here because people raved about it. I was so disappointed! I asked if a cannoli cake can be made without the rum. I was told no problem. Asked if they cold do crushed cannoli shells on the outside. I was told this was impossible that they put almonds. I asked for it to be plain. My brother is allergic to nuts and the man the cake was for is a recovering alcoholic. When I picked up the cake it had nuts on it. Ok I can take them off but the cake was filled with rum and the rest of the cake was not good at all. The icing was hard and tasteless. I spent $40 for a cake I had to throw out. This place is...
