The Greatest — Restaurant in Hawthorne

The greatest? More like the worst! I passed by this place with my friend on the way to a restaurant she frequents. The Greatest looked appealing, and they have good reviews so we decided to go. We sat anywhere, but no one came and asked for our drink order. So we moved to the bar, because it was not crowded and I believe they only had one bartender working. As soon as we sat at the bar the bartender approached us kindly asking for our drink order. Which was fine. However when she was making my friends drink, shaking it up, she walked out the door to go outside. Then when she came back inside she was still shaking the drink. Immediately my friend and I was like no, why would she walk outside with a drink she's making. The drink did look good. But it was hella weird for her to leave outside. So my friend declined the drink. That's when the attitude came. She was like what do you mean no. She took offense that we no longer wanted the drink. But I asked "why did you take the drink outside"?? She replied that there was a customer was outside asking her a question that she went to answer real quick. But girl why didn't you put the drink down before you went outside?? Don't you see how that's weird and could make a patron uncomfortable?!?! The customer came inside, sat at the bar and apologized to me and my friend., saying he called her outside to ask a question. He then offered to buy us a round. And the bartender said "No, but you can pay for the drink she made me make and doesn't want". So I paid for the drink I got, which was in a can and we left.

It would've been okay if she didn't get defensive and apologized, and made a new drink. It didn't sit right that she acted like her stepping outside while making a drink wasn't a big deal. Infact she got mad and refused when the customer offered to...

I fell in love with this bar from the moment I stepped foot in. The very first regular I saw thought I was someone else and when he realized I wasn't saud person he introduced himself and got me my first beer there. Needless to say everyone is friendly and its worth stopping by. I recommend this bar to anyone who's near by and don't be afraid to say hi because you'll be treated like...
