Sand Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Hayesville

I meannn I gave this place a few times to redeem itself. The environment is amazinggg. I called before heading in to verify a few things. Both the girl and supposedly the manager today was absolutely some of the rudest people I've encountered in the area. Talk about needing some more customer service training. The manager was not nice at all extremely short and horrrrible energy. I waited til about 5 to go check the place out because mannny people directed me to this place. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Well went straight to the bar was not addressed was absolutely not acknowledged at all. Finally I'm guessing the manager walks over and asks me if I have been helped. I say no. Said absolutely nothing after that just points me to the menu on the wall and finally I order a beer. Asked me for my ID then walks away. Sends a female over she gives me one of the meanest looks and rolled her eyes in my face scans my ID. Was given my ID and beer and nothing else was said. I only review places that really over does it. Rather that be good or bad. I didn't get the chance to talk to anyone else. For such a high recommendation I expected a much friendlier bar staff.... I was very much considering working here. Just hurt yourselves out of a amazingg...

I've eaten there B4 and it was good. However this trip I tried the crab cakes since the waitress recommended them. Not cheap either! I don't mind paying had they tasted a little like a crab cake. They were the WORST I ever had . Incredibly mushy and way over spiced! I had only 2 bites B4 returning them. Waitress could care less, didn't offer something else and STILL charged me. Unbelievable! Bill was over $70! It wasn't the money, it was the fact she had an attitude and didn't give a crap! Very disappointing. You couldn't even taste any crab meat. New chef? I've been there many times.good chance I won't be back! Plus because we sat outside where we were totally ignored. She never came out once to check on us. Had to go to bar to get Bill from bartender. It wasn't very busy at the time either. There is absolutely no reason for such poor service and disgusting crab cakes! Especially when she would rather hang out at bar talking to friends then pay attention to her tables! Never even glancing out at us. Not once!! Someone else delivered the food. I usually take pics of food. But neglected to because i was distracted from the nastiness of...

Worst place I have ever been! You have to place your order at the bar. We had to figure that out for ourselves. No one told us or glanced our way. Well the older gray ponytailed guy at the bar acted like we were bothering him to even dare speak to him. He seemed mad we asked for fries which he said they MAY BE OUT of. He wouldn't even go check! So my husband LITERALLY ended up with fish and CHIPS (Lays chips) and his plate came with ONE piece of fish for $14, btw. Our friend placed his order before me and my husband. Our food came out but our friends never did. He had to go find someone to ask "where's my food"? , and by the time me and my husband were finished eating and we were all walking out, they brought my friends food saying the gray ponytailed man never entered his order. The absolute worst service ever. The gray ponytailed guy needs a SERIOUS attitude adjustment! The place could be semi-ok if not for him. Spent $50 to be ignored and treated like dirt. Save your money. Too many other nice places...
