The food is pretty good. You can tell everything is made from scratch and it’s fresh with good flavor. Our server was friendly enough and came back to check in on us throughout our visit. The brick and motor and the atmosphere needs a lot of help. The floor is literally squishy and my foot sunk down in one spot almost 6 inches. The only thing reminiscent of an Italian cafe is the plastic checkered table cloths. Everything else is not inviting, or place you feel comfortable sitting at. Hopefully this location or building is a temporary situation until they get more established. Which I hope they do. It is nice to have an Italian option in town! We did order take out tonight to bypass the atmosphere, and they told us it would be ready in 30 min, and when we got there to pick it up, they said it wasn’t ready and that the tickets are stacked up in the back and they weren’t sure when it would be ready. We waited another 40 min for it to be done. I understand things get busy, and backed up, but they should have told us a more appropriate pick up time, so we didn’t have to wait. Hopefully in the future they will work out...
Read moreThis Italian Restaurant is not to be missed! We were greeted by Leo who was very friendly and professional and warm to talk to. We waited for our to go order and received service while we waited, if we wanted a drink or needed anything. We ordered the Chicken Cacciatore and Eggplant Parmesan, also the garlic cheese bread and was delighted to taste how good everything was. The portions were ample and the pasta was very savory. The chicken cacciatore has two big portions of chicken and large pieces of peppers and mushrooms with a lot of sauce. The Eggplant Parmesan also has a savory sauce and plenty. We received our drinks while we waited and was offered to go cups when we left with a fresh refill. The ambience is cozy and we look forward to...
Read moreWow wow WOW, this place is just what Hays needed. We have been lacking a decent Italian place for a while now, but this might be the best Italian food between Kansas City and Denver. Pasta was excellent, tried several different sauces and you can not go wrong with any of them and the tiramisu is probably the second best I have ever had. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert btw 😋.
My only critique is maybe with time they can either move to a larger, more modern location or update and add-on to what they have, the location isn’t bad right on Vine, the building itself is just a bit dated, but they are doing great with what they...
