Hunan Restaurant — Restaurant in Hayward

I hate giving bad reviews specially since it was our first time trying this restaurant out. My family and I were excited to try their food since its near us and it has good reviews. On Saturday 7/31/21 around 6:40 pm I called to place our order over the phone and my Bf picked it up. We were enjoying our food, when We got to the potstickers I felt something when I was chewing my potsticker, my first thought was “it’s probably a bone” but no to my surprised it was a piece of sharp metal!! Im just glad my kids did not get to the potstickers!!! I called them right away and let the lady on the phone know what happened and she asked if I was okay and I told her “yes but please be careful what you are serving” she asked if I wanted a new order of potstickers on my next visit and I told her no its okay. She said “it was probably the basket where we put the potstickers, we will change it right away” We will definitely not be coming back after this. People please be careful. There is only a handful of restaurants that I tell people are absolutely "The Best". Hunan is one of those. Not only is the food delicious, the service is 100% friendly, welcoming, and warm. I have been coming here for years now and I can tell you all, the food is DELICIOUS! Yes the Bay Area has a lot of great food, but Hunan is definitely the best Chinese restaurant here. Big thanks to Jessica (not real name lol) and the great staff at Hunan for welcoming us all to this spot.

Where do I start, been coming here for more than 10 years, food is delicious and prepared the healthy way, customer service is the best, sad for pandemia but good they open now, I love that is run by a family which is why the great customer service.
