If you ever been to La Piñata or La Penca Azul or even El Otaez, all these have in common is their food. It's meant for American/Caucasian people.
Tacos de cabeza taste like tacos de lengua it's really simple no flavor. Tacos de chicharrón, I Highly recommend you stay AWAY from it. It's VERY BITTER. Tacos de carnitas once again no flavor. I couldn't tell which taco i was eating besides the chicharrón since it was crunchy.
The hot/Mild Sauce is Delicious so are their chips that they give you on every order. Both red and hot sauce were on point! I originally came here last night because of the pictures they look like they tasted like street tacos. Unfortunately it doesn't taste like a street taco. It's generic. It was a disappointment but they waiter did hooked it up with extra cups of that Hot Sauce that's hella good. So I'ma make me my own tacos and use that sauce cause it was delicious! For the average American you'll love it here. For Mexicans, or people that have ate food in Mexico I recommend spending 30min to an hour and drive up to Tacos in Oakland way better or 15min to the one by union city which the one i originally wanted to go to but they closed at 8pm, i think it's called Los Carnalitos next to the freeway in that shopping center...
Read moreLos Dos Hermanos is an excellent choice for lunch. These days when most lunches cost $20, LDH offers generous lunch specials in the $10 - 12 range. I had a filling shredded beef flauta with rice, beans, salad, and guacamole, and my friend had a chimichanga with the same sides. The food was flavorful and nicely seasoned. Although there was no one in the dining room when we entered, the staff was attentive and patient as soon as they realized they had patrons. Will be planning another visit to try their Taco salad. Note: not sure if lunch specials are available on the weekends.
Dining room looks dated, restroom was clean. My only small gripe is the volume of the music, which seems to be the standard with some restaurants (I had to forego a much anticipated dining experience at an African restaurant as my ears actually hurt and they couldn't lower the volume). It would be nice if the music stayed in...
Read moreThe only reason I am not giving 5* is they don't serve hard liquor. They serve wine & beer. Now having said that the food is 5* without a doubt!! We were just passing through and stopped for a taco. OMG were we pleasantly surprised. The food is exceptional! The chile reyenos are the best I have ever had in the entire bay area. No exaggeration. The batter is light and airy, just like mom used to make. Not one of those mushy cheese covered messes you are served in most restaurants. Their chicken is delish, succulent! Full of flavor and perfectly cooked moist. You sometimes you order shredded chicken and its just boiled to death with sauce poured over. The service was great. The table salsa was tasty (not too hot) The chips were fresh. What more can I say. We are going back. Next time I will try the wine margarita. If you don't live in the area, make the trip you won't be...
