ZERO STARS! OMG, the worst place ever. Had to sleep with the lights on all night because of the roaches (and even with them on they still came out...almost like their use to this). Asked for a different room but was denied. Was given a spray bottle (that didn't work) to kill the NASTY ROACHES! Tell me again why that was MY job? Called these people 9 times to complain and NOTHING! The mattresses were NASTY, the floor was NASTY, the TV only has 4 working channels with NO REMOTE CONTROL. The pillows were FLAT, the sheets had to be switched out because they were NASTY (I had to follow the elderly maid to the wash room and to grab my own clean sheets and bedspread). The elderly maid then asked me was I going to make the bed up because she had to catch a 6pm bus. I felt bad but I said, "no I'm not you are, sorry." Needless to say, she had quite the attitude but oh well. The curtains look like they've been walked on, ran over and dipped in coffee because of the color...SO NASTY. The windows have no screens so you can't open them because of the fear of spiders or whatever else to come in the room due to the trees. No refrigerator or microwave (you wouldn't want to have food in there anyway because of the roaches). The shower had a roach in it. Baby roaches EVERYWHERE. The room spelled like a smoke factory. Just the most unfriendly experience I've ever been in. Manager? What manager. Still haven't received a callback from him or her regarding my complaint. Not even sure if he/she even exists. If I couldn't get a refund or a partial refund, at least a different room would have sufficed. I would of even settled for a "we apologize but there's nothing we can offer at this time. However, we would like to comp another stay for you in the future." I wouldn't come back to this place but would've appreciated some type courtesy. I stayed a week here before and it was okay. I was even asked by the front desk person if she could "borrow" twenty dollars! Go FIGURE! I at least had a refrigerator and microwave and the 2nd floor room was roach free. I did notice that if you are only staying a night you get a standard NASTY room at a price that isn't worth it. If you stay for 2 or more nights you get a cleaner room (price still not worth it). Overall, I will NEVER come back, I have reported this to the health department and will not stop until something is done! It's unacceptable and no one should be subjected to nastiness like that. I normally stay at the Marriott BUT this one time I took a leap of faith in this place and was slapped in it. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The price they ask you to pay for such an experience is obscene. I was so uncomfortable and will never again give them another dime. I hope this helps someone. The High Tower rooms...
Read moreFriendly service, quite location, stores nearby. The rooms vary but even the basic room is worth the price. They're clean enough rooms for being a cheap extended stay hotel, like a dive hotel if you will. I never seen a bug there yet, so that's a good sign. Air conditioning, and a TV are in all rooms. They have a good ice machine. they have refrigerator, microwave and a stove top oven for a few bucks more if you need or want that. You can pay for up to week all at once or add on before check out if you need another day. For what the cost is I think it's a very decent and modest hotel. It's a life saver if you're looking at dire straits ahead of you. Less then half a day's work at minimum wage gets you a night and that's piece of mind if your surviving day by day. The only thing is I just wish they would open the pool.. not for the stuck up, silver spoon fed, picky, can't stand a stain or two on the carpet or drapes or those who pretend to be of a higher class bracket than their current situation presents. So if you're one that thinks motel 6 is to low of a standard for you to stay in then go spend an extra 20 to 50 bucks for no real reason other than pride and stay some place else that is no different. Remember looks don't mean a thing, and stop pretending you're above staying at the most adorable place when money is tight, your pride will break you. Humble yourself, accept reality and toughen up and do the smart thing and be happy for a change. You'll feel better in the long run.. to conclude great place to utilize when times are hard and if you're honest with yourself and work towards a better future this place can help you safe your cash and the piece of mind needed to progress. I'd suggest staying there even if you're doing alright just to progress even faster.. only the strong survive and those that survive the hard times have a...
Read moreWent to this motel today for the first time ever. Currently 34 weeks pregnant and me and my child's father checked in 2 adults 1 child. Thank god our son wasn't there. First as soon as we walked in the room it smelled really really bad. Second there was left over alcohol bottels, roach boxes and even baby roaches. Soon after we arrived my child's father started complaining about everything in which he usually always does but this time ended up having a point to it. After being in the room for over three hours my mom dropped off my son and asked soon as she walked in she noticed the smell of gas she immediately called the manager and told her abput the problem and had someone sent up to our room. He then agreed on the room smelling like gas and tried to fix the problem. We went downstairs to switch rooms which ended up being in the same condition and overall wasn't pleased with our stay what so ever. We then complained again about the problems, in which she she tried to have fixed with air freshener. We asked for our money back, or to speak with the owner. She wouldn't give us an email to write a letter or anything. So if your thinking about coming here. Don't waste your time it's not worth is. Waiting to get my refund because they will not take my money after almost killing us with the smell of gas leaking from their stove. Terrible, terrible, terrible. NEVER SPEND MONEY HERE YOU WILL LEAVE UNHAPPY. We only stayed for 4 hours tops....
