This little hidden gem my son and I discovered on accident. We were trying to go to Doug's delight and they just so happened to be closed that day. So we drove a little bit and went to the next closest place. It sure does not look special just to look at but my goodness it is the best ice cream place around I think. I don't know of any other ice cream place that makes their own brownies for the brownie sundaes instead of using already prepared one's except this place. Once I got this strawberry waffle ice cream desert that looked pretty good in the pictures. But when I actually got it it was like ten times larger than what the picture portrayed and that doesn't happen often It's usually the other way around it looks bigger in the picture and then when you get it it's much smaller. And oh my gosh it was so yummy and I've never had anything like that at any other ice cream place ever. And then there's the homemade sloppy joes with a special recipe handed down my goodness those are delicious! And homemade tea and lemonade with those yummy little balls of juice in it. In the man that owns the place is super very welcoming and kind. Having that kind of service alone would keep me coming back but the food is the best! after that first visit we had an accident it became our new favorite place and now we go here all the time instead of Doug's delight. I think you should buy that little place next to it the miniature golf place and have a little two-in-one ordeal. We will definitely be going back to this...
Read moreMy husband and I live down the street from here. Weâve been a few times but after tonight we will never go back. In the past every and I mean EVERY order was wrong. We hadnât been since it changed to âthe splitâ. So tonight we walked over. I ordered the frozen banana with nuts and the husband ordered the Samoa treat. We paid and it turns out they didnât have the frozen banana with the nuts. Sigh. Opted for the plain chocolate one. I did ask to sample the sloppy joe as the sign out front usually says something along the lines of âBest sloppy joe in townâ but I wanted a small spoonful to see if it was spicy at all. The girl at the counter had asked her boss and the boss said I had to order the full thing. Nope wonât do it. Anyways we got our treats and asked for the 50 cent refund for the missing nuts (for the principal and the fact that they can never seem to get the smallest order right!) while sitting there an older gentleman got out of his car and got an hotdog or sorts. He went to leave but had to go back because the HOT dog was COLD. How do you mess that up?! Oh did I also forget to mention my husbandâs Samoa treat was missing caramel?! Pretty sure thatâs one of the main ingredients. We will never go back. So glad that Dougâs Delight is open and we canât wait to go try them. I wouldnât waste...
