Rostas Cafe — Restaurant in Hazleton

Ordered 3 fries, 2 cheese & gravy 1 with bacon & ranch. Now according to the internet which has multiple menus & prices, mind you this is just French fries but online prices for large range from 8 to 10.50. Fast forward my husband gets home & says they were 45$ for 3 things of French fries!! It's not like they are freshly chopped french fries there are frozen fries from a bag which were dry. Honeslty i would have left then there & walked out for that price! I'm sorry but that's insane. Plus that's not what's on the menus! So I call, the guy on the phone whom was a lil rude says they are anywhere from 13 to 15$ I said since when bc every menu I looked at says they are less. Then proceeds to say if you want to make a complaint call back later & speak with the manager/owner & hangs up on me! Come to find we were charged for 3 family trays of fries by the owner! This is not the 1st time I've heard this happened to someone I know went in got salad pizza & 2 drink paid 85$ , it's a a shame bc they always had good food but when you as a business speaking on what ive heard from ppl talking about them not doing so good the last thing you do is over charge ppl!! Ppl talk & now there's families that will not go there anymore Word of mouth is huge in the restaurant business & when you do this ppl it's messed up & it's only gonna keep hurting your business!

**If they aren't a menu thing you should say this isn't a menu item put an updated menu online then, I'm speaking upon what I've heard from ppl & yes i was pissed thats not what was online would you pay that much for fries? We got the same fries somewhere else for 7$ I could have a whole meal for that price that...

I'm in the area for work & have been to Rostas twice in 2 weeks. The 1st time was take out. This time we dined in. We had the pizza again. It is a unique pie with a sauce that has an ever so slight sweetness, but it isn't overbearing. The crust is pan style but not too thick. The pepperoni & sausage are the real deal (if you know, you know). What makes it so good though, is the schmutz cheese, it's awesome. They definitely are not stingy with the cheese nor the toppings. The inside is nice with a decent sized bar and a couple of bar tops. There is booth & table seating in the back. There is also a nice sized covered patio area we noticed as we were leaving. I have to say we have always loved the food at Rostas; both current and previous owner but this time around I think the prices increased. Ordered two pizzas ( always thought they were good but could get pizza kits and make them at home), anyway, 2 pizzas, a large antipasto, it was large, and a turkey hoagie which had very thick sliced turkey breast, seemed more like for a dinner than hoagie. Got our bill and it was $68.00! Couldn't believe it!!! Was also disappointed at the fact that the hoagie had mayo when I requested oil and vinegar, the salad had no dressing or bread and 1 pizza was almost burnt the other hardly melted. Was a sad...
