The Locals Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Headland

Boy oh boy... don't even know where to begin with this one. first I usually don't give restaurants complaints but this place was just so bad I couldn't hide it from the public. I really wanted to give this place a fighting chance.ive been there about 4 times and each time it got worse and worse. the first time I've ever been there an employee slipped and fell and the managers didn't do anything to help her it was a customer who stopped eating their dinner to go and help her. the employees are clearly being overworked. I am good friends with an employee who works there and they have informed me that they work long hours with no break which is illegal. the second time i went was also a really bad experience not only was our food cold but it also took 2 hours before we got served. which is ridiculously. the third time I was there the chicken was undercooked and the fries were cold and didn't taste right at all. the 4th time dined in with locals,which was last night, was the final straw. There was a GLOVE in my sons food. Not to mention that the employees in the kitchen smoke in the kitchen, which I saw as one of the employees proceeded to take a puff from what looked like a vape and blew out the smoke as they were existing the kitchen and coming to the front. I really tried to give the locals a fighting chance but the restaurant is unclean the workers are over worked and it appears the manager do not care about their employees and not to mention the GLOVE in the food again. also anytime there are bad reviews customers put up they somehow get them taken down in an attempt at what I'm assuming is to cover up everything...

Terrible, will not be going back. Not clean at all, the bathrooms are nasty. No updates done from when it was Big Mike's except painting it an awful turquoise blue. NO atmosphere at all. Ordered hamburgers they were absolutely terrible. The patty was in pieces, flavorless and smashed on to a cold old bun. Pieces of the burger kept falling out of the bun. I gave up trying to eat it and ate some of the fries that were just OK. My husband had a hot bottled beer for $4.00. Kid's meal cost $8.00 with a soft drink. I drank ice water. Not many customers were there so the food should have been hot and fresh. No one came to check on us after food/drink delivered. The two employees we saw were standing inside the check out area on their phones, drinking and eating. We did not eat over 1/2 of the food. We all had to get something to eat after we got home. Will NOT return. I try to support the local restaurants but as a local, I will not return there. I wasted $45 on food that was worse than a fast food...

Tonight was my second time dining here. The first time the wait wasn’t very long for the food and it was good! Tonight was a whole different story. I waited 1 hour and 30 mins at least for my wings and fries. That is not an exaggeration. We asked a few times about our food rather than anyone explain why it was taking so long . If someone had come by a few times to apologize and let us know what was going on it would’ve made the situation better. After one hour and 30 minutes or so we finally received our food but after that no one came back to refill our drinks or bring the check. We went to check out and were told three people called out but not given a sincere apology. I think he took off our drinks which was a decent thing to do but a meaningful apology would’ve gone further. I suggest they work on customer service skills in the future, if there is one. I...
