Manny’s Tex-Mex Restaurante is a hidden gem nestled in a familiar strip mall, and it's absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you—this place delivers on flavor, portion size, and value. We were greeted warmly upon entering and seated quickly. The ambiance is cozy and casual, with the typical Tex-Mex aesthetic: dark chairs, wood-topped tables, and simple, inviting décor. Parking is plentiful, even if the lot looks full—it doesn’t necessarily mean the restaurant is packed. Their drink menu is surprisingly robust, featuring 20 tequilas, mezcal, whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, and a solid wine selection. It’s a great place to enjoy a meal with a spirited beverage. One of my favorite things about Manny’s is the menu—it’s focused and manageable. No overwhelming 9-page novel here. About 25% of the menu is dedicated to 10 types of queso and 14 quesadillas, which makes for some fun decision-making without getting lost in the options. We started with Manny’s Queso ($11), which came out in a generous portion with separate ramekins of guacamole and crema. It’s reminiscent of classic ballpark-style queso—creamy, rich, and topped with taco meat. Not the fanciest version I’ve had, but definitely comforting and satisfying. We nearly finished the whole bowl between the two of us. For entrees, we shared the Beef Fajita Quesadilla (half order, $13) and Brisket Tacos ($17). The quesadilla was the highlight of the night—plated beautifully, loaded with well-seasoned beef, and bursting with cheesy goodness. The fresh pico, guac, and crema on the side were great, though we wished there was a little more of each to match the generous portion. The brisket tacos were good but didn’t quite live up to the flavor of the quesadilla. The brisket had more of a pot roast vibe, with seasoning added to try and push it into “taco” territory. Some bites were tender, others a bit dry—maybe we caught the end of a batch. Still, my wife really enjoyed hers and said I must’ve just had bad luck. Service started off a little slow (about 15 minutes before our server arrived), but once they did, everything went smoothly. Our server was attentive, kept drinks filled, and made sure we had everything we needed. Chips and salsa came out quickly, which helped tide us over during the initial wait. The entire atmosphere was warm and inviting—most of the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which added to the overall good vibe. You can tell this is a spot locals enjoy, and it’s easy to see why. All in all, Manny’s Tex-Mex offers a great balance of quality, portion size, price, and service. The focused menu is a plus, the quesadillas are a must-try, and the overall experience is one we’d happily repeat. Definitely recommended for a casual, satisfying Tex-Mex meal in the Dallas area.

Oh boy, my husband suggested dinner at our favorite quaint Mexican food spot in the small town of Heath. I have loved this restaurant since the first time we tried it. From their wonderful manager Jorges to the wonderful waiter Nacho, they make you feel welcomed. I have had several dishes here, and you can not go wrong with anything there. As soon as you're seated, the table is brought chips and homemade salsa. The wait staff are quick with asking for drink orders. I can recommend their skinny margaritas and also regular margaritas. They are very delicious and a generous pour. I was nicely buzzed after 2 margaritas. My husband has also tried the different flavored margaritas and really enjoys them, but I'm a purest and just love original. They have a very nice adult beverages menu, including a variety of mixed drinks with specialty signature drinks, assorted beer, and a wine menu. We have tried several of the appetizers. Our favorites are the queso. The ceviche is really freshly made with wonderful flavors. We have also tried the Mannys Uptown Platter, which is highly shareable with a delicious variety of items. For dinner, my go-to is always a full order of Brisket Nachos. They are packed with wonderful flavorable brisket with a smear of refried beans covered in melted cheese. The dish comes with guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños. My husband loves the Chimichanga that comes with the choice of topping (red sauce, cheese sauce, etc) and rice and beans. The dish is really a generous portion. We are the type of patrons that usually have found our favorite dishes and don't venture much from them. But they have a very versatile menu. We have not tried any desserts yet, but they look very delicious. Mannys atmosphere is very laid back, but very inviting with tables and tall booths. They have a small bar section and an open window to see the chefs busy preparing our items. Mannys has a gorgeous, very large patio area with a large fountain in the middle and traditional rows of colorful hanging  Papel picados. We love the waiter Nacho, who usually waits on us. He is very attentive and never misses a beat. Drinks are filled as well as tortilla chips. We love him! Restrooms are located and are easy to find and have always been very clean. There is easy access to the parking lot with plenty of parking, including handicapped. Don't miss this hidden gem in a hidden small town trying to grow.

You wrote a review for Manny’s Uptown Tex-Mex Restaurante 5 days ago 5.0 star rating6/14/2023 Wow! This restaurant exceeded all my expectations! I can't stop raving about their mouthwatering brisket tacos, the incredible ambiance, and the outstanding service provided by the attentive wait staff.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The tastefully decorated interior added a touch of sophistication, making me feel instantly comfortable and relaxed.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show--the brisket tacos! Oh my goodness, they were a flavor explosion in every bite. The tender, juicy brisket paired with the perfectly seasoned tortillas and an array of delectable toppings created a culinary masterpiece. I couldn't get enough of their savory goodness!

But it wasn't just the food that impressed me. The service was top-notch. The wait staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was exceptional. They were always there when I needed assistance, and their friendly demeanor made me feel valued as a customer.

If you happen to be in this area, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant as a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a memorable dinner or a quick bite, this place has it all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Every aspect, from the tantalizing brisket tacos to the inviting ambiance and impeccable service, will leave you with a satisfied smile.

In conclusion, this restaurant deserves every bit of its five-star rating. I can confidently say that my visit here was an experience worth writing home about--and more! Don't miss out on this culinary gem; it's an absolute...
