😢Title: People remember how you make them feel.😔
Let me start by saying, it started off great!
Please allow me to set the stage.
We don't live here in Helena. After a double header game of soccer in Livingston, MT. My son and I decided to take a pit stop on our way home here in Helena. We are staying in a hotel with only necessities. We used the app to order.
Story:
Our food looked wonderful when it arrived. I ordered a salad with ranch and bare wings with ranch. For my 12 yrs old. Shrimp scampi and garlic knots.
I am posting pictures of the before and after.
My food arrived with some sort of a house dressing and no ranch. I did call the store, and they were more than happy to send out some ranch. Fantastic! (Remember, it started out well) When my son started to eat his shrimp scampi, we found out that there was such a heavy hand of red pepper flakes on the pasta that his mouth immediately started to burn. I double-checked after eating a bite, and my mouth too was on burning! 🔥 And I like heat.
I knew the ranch was on its way and didn't want to call the store again so I tried to fix his food by rinsing it off and picking off all the red peppers but it was too late all the pasta had absorbed the heat and that plate was a straight level 10 of red pepper flakes heat.
I am pretty diligent when it comes to ordering online. I thought to myself. Maybe I missed something, so I looked at the app again. There is NO mention of red pepper flakes in the shrimp scampi pasta.
I made the decision to call the store back again. This time, I spoke to David, the manager, and he did not have a smile over the phone for me. I brought up the app and how it does not say "red pepper flakes" on the ingredients. He informed me that that's a special that they run. Diversion for my issue. I did say, "Okay! Well, that still doesn't address that my 12 YR OLD sons mouth is ON FIRE!" Friends, no joke he replied with,"Well, ya know you did get what you paid for!" Inner thought: "Uhm...excuse me!?"
Long story long....he offered to refund our scampi to the card. We ordered food at 6ish, and I am finalizing this review at 915 pm. My lips are still on fire! And there is still no credit on our card.

Read moreA solid New York style pizza and sub joint in Helena, MT? Excellent! As a recent transplant from the East Coast, I was prepared to be missing seriously good New York style pizza. Thankfully, Brooklyn Pizza and Pasta Company showed up just after I moved here, and I'm all for it!
First off, the owner and staff are very nice. They greet you warmly, and seem like genuinely good people. I understand the owner moved here from the New York area recently, so his on-the-ground experience is greatly welcomed in making this an authentic experience.
To this point, I haven't ordered a full pizza, but all of the pizza by the slice we've had has been wonderful. I like the cheese blend on the traditional pizza, and the pepperoni is great, but the star to me is the white pizza (bianca), with no sauce and different cheeses. If you like cheese, get that when it's available (or order the whole pizza). Very, very good.
The penne ala vodka was delicious and a nice sized portion, and the eggplant parm sub is loaded with thin sliced eggplant (how I like) and gobs of melted cheese. The bread that it's on is a little "fancier" than I'm used to for sub sandwiches - not a bad thing, just a stylistic preference for a softer roll. We've also tried some of the appetizers, and for the price, they are massive. The garlic knots go great with a couple beers next door at Blackfoot, and the mozzarella pinwheels are a meal in and of themselves - and their marinara is perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Philly cheesesteaks are some day soon - that's another East Coast specialty I wasn't expecting to find here.
Now, this is a popular joint - you will likely wait, and the staff will apologize for the wait. But they're popular for a justifiable reason - the delicious food you can't find anywhere else in the Helena area. So, if you can, call ahead, leave a few minutes of grace time, and enjoy a delicious, affordably priced, and authentic New York Italian meal. I hope Brooklyn has much success and stays around for a long...
Read moreLong story, and I usually don’t try to leave bad reviews because I believe any situation could be a one off. But this last trip to Brooklyn Pizza, I called in an order for pickup, 2 large pizzas and 2 orders of garlic knots. I was told 20-25 minutes. When I showed up I paid 30 minutes after I called it in. After paying I was told the knots needed 10 more minutes I said ok no biggie and I waited. 10 minutes turned into another 25 minute wait, and they only had enough garlic knots to complete one order and I was never told until they brought it out to me which had they told me when I was paying I would of just taken the pizza and saved myself some time. I was feeding 6 kids and 2 adults garlic knots come with 5 in an order. So I asked them to return both garlic knots as not every kid is going to be able to get one. They did and that was easily done thankfully. Due to having hungry people waiting 30 minutes extra I grabbed the pizza and took off. The pizza was burnt and cold. First time ordering wasn’t a great experience but not this bad. Like I said I don’t usually leave reviews just because I think there are so many factors that play a part into each experience and it’s not necessarily the right thing to do when you have one mediocre or bad experience because the next time it could be great. Once home and opened the pizza boxes and found out it was burnt and cold the Mrs called in to let them know and it looks and sounds like they got everything sorted out so it seems like they have very good customer service in that regard. So that’s a positive situation for them. Give them a shot and I hope you don’t have...
