I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept 2025 for a vacation to Helena. I could not have enjoyed my stay any more than I did and I would absolutely stay here again. The entire staff was extra friendly, helpful, and professional. Not a day went by that they didn't go above and beyond to do little extra requests for me. The hotel is in a perfect location attached to the pedestrian mall in downtown Helena and is a short, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops, souvenir places, and bar & grills. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept, and the housekeeper that worked on my floor was very pleasant and was glad to help with requests like extra Keurig cups, glasses, etc that I asked for. Joy, who is one of the managers, and was at the front desk much of the time, was always helpful and accommodating. Even the two young men, Chase and Cash, who drove me around when needed, and provided the hotel pickup and drop-off at the airport in the hotel shuttle, were both very nice and friendly and contributed to the enjoyment of my stay. I would highly...

I travel a lot for work and this was the most disappointing Hilton that I have ever stayed at. When I first checked in, I discovered that my bathroom sink and utility sink had not been cleaned. I found black hairs in the sink and on the bed. There was also an unidentifiable black thing on the sheets.

When I notified the front desk person, he was incredibly understanding and receptive. He had Maintenance come and take care of the room and let me know that this has happened often recently, and that he would have the manager add points to my Hilton stay for my troubles. Unfortunately, I never received the points.

At bedtime, there were several small flies in my room. They would land on me and it was distracting enough that I was unable to get much sleep. The next day, I discovered that other coworkers in my party (about 20-30 of us) had similar issues including dirty sinks, bathtubs, unclean sheets, and more bugs.

Interactions with all staff were very friendly and positive, but I don’t think I will...

My stay at this hotel was ok. Let me start by saying the staff, and room were great. What wasn’t good heat/air conditioning was not working correctly, the room was very hot!!! Staff was accommodating and helped with the sliding glass door, I got some cool fresh air. The pool/hot tub was not open. I really look forward to sitting in the hot tub after a long day on the road. I tried to take a shower the first night, there was no hot water and the pressure of the water was nonexistent. The next morning I tried again for a shower and the water was lukewarm, not a pleasant experience!!! My last day when I tried the shower the water was SO hot and no matter what adjustments I made it was still hot. One thing that I found funny, if I would have drank the water in the room it would have cost me $2. WOW!! You would think a hotel such as the double tree would be able to afford to give their guests a bottle or two of water. Anywhere else I have stayed provides a couple complementary bottles of water in the...

This is a very nice and clean Doubletree location. The staff is very friendly, and the location is very enjoyable as it is right on the main streets in downtown Helena. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance, even during the COVID lockdown. The only challenge I’ve had here is that sometimes it can be quite noisy. There is a lot of activity outside like big trucks, machinery noise, etc. I would advise choosing a lower floor if possible as the noise doesn’t seem as loud on the lower floors. Of course, the views from the higher floors are much better. If you want to stay on a higher floor I recommend bringing your plugs or a white noise machine.

The hotel was about average, and the rooms were a bit larger than normal, which is nice. What a cool showerhead! The people servicing the hotel are the reason I would return. It borders on a walking mall with lots of destination shops. Their parking lot is narrow and small, and freakishly difficult to navigate, with exit lanes that face the wrong direction; be prepared to three-point turn in traffic. In a perfect world they would extend a parking garage south for their patron's use. The continental breakfast, similar to what you get in other hotels for free, is charged to your room (mine was $14 per person).

I'd been working in Helena for 3 weeks and after 2 extended stay calls at another hotel they suddenly had no room for me. I was scrambling to find another place on a big sports weekend with nothing opened within 100 miles for the weekend. I luckily got John from Double Tree on the phone and working around a cancellation found me a room. This place is in the heart of Helens old town, the best place to be if you want to experience it. A beautiful city walking path, shopping, a couple tap rooms, and next to mount Helena . Oh yes, the Hotel is great, nice rooms, great views, and the best staff in Montana.
