Park Avenue Bakery — Restaurant in Helena

Melanie made our wedding cake and we got some other selected desserts for the wedding. I had a very specific idea of the flavor I wanted for the wedding cake and I put together a collection of photos I liked. Melanie was a pleasure to work with and executed the flavor (brown butter with caramel) perfectly. We’d specifically asked for frosting that wasn’t too thick or sweet and she made a wonderful buttercream that went amazingly with the rest of the cake.

Unfortunately my husband I didn’t have a chance to eat much of the cake - we were not prompted to cut the cake as planned so it was after 9:30PM before we remembered the cake. All the plates were then cleared before people even finished eating so I ended up only getting a few bites before it was gone. We were heartbroken and didn’t get to keep any, but figured that’s just the way weddings go. I sent some photos of the cake to Melanie so she could see it with the flowers on and told her everyone loved it but we didn’t get to eat more than a few bites and she offered to make us a little cake of the same flavor so we could actually enjoy it. We got the little cake this weekend and it’s perfect.

We were so happy with the cupcakes and mini chocolate Earl Grey desserts that we got and the guests loved everything. The Aroma of a World Class Bakery as you park your car. Inside of one of Helena Montanas main street historical buildings is a beautiful bakery. Beautiful displays of pastries, breads etc. Oh the Coffee, my stars the Coffee combined with a fresh pastry from the oven while sitting in the dinning room with a view of historic downtown is all part of what makes Park Avenue Bakery such a wonderful place. The staff are awesome and greet you like family. The owners Support our local Veterans by donating free pastries and rolls of fresh breads to Montana Veterans Foundation also known as Cruse House. The food here is ALWAYS amazing and is a regular stop for my friend and I in the mornings when I get off work. It's a little pricy for helena but compared to the quality of food you get? It's worth every penny. Their prickly pear cake is SO good. And to those who are upset about the mask mandate? There is NO reason to NOT wear a mask. There just isn't. There is nothing thar restricts the lungs enough and if you have breathing issues all the more reason TO wear one to avoid getting sick. So just wear a mask. If you can't bring yourself to do that?
