Captain Crab Seafood & BBQ — Restaurant in Hellam Township

I dont try to bash local places, i just give my honest feedback and review. Kinda average bbq place. The sides were okay( baked beans tasted like from the can, mac n cheese was better). Bbq chicken wasn't up to par- skin was rubbery, not much seasoning, but atleast it was moist and not dry. I wasn't happy with how I didnt get the deal I paid for- was supposed to get a leg quarter but he was out and only had thighs. I thought he would give me 2 thighs, since he didnt have what was advertised but I only got 1. Highlight of trip was cornbread was REALLY good I'll give them that. I would be open to coming back to trying other bbq, I just hope what I would get wouldn't be on the same level as...

Being from Texas I am a super critic of BBQ. I have only found one good BBQ place in the York area, but it's a food truck so never know when or where. We stopped into Capt BBQ worried it would be as terrible as previous BBQ place was that used to be next door. So surprised! The food is fantastic!!! We were so happy!! The meat was moist, not dried out. Sides were all delicious. The corn bread was like cake so good. Owners so nice! A good line was forming as we left. Good for them! We've had crabs and seafood from the Capt for years. Hardshell crabs are fantastic. This was our first time trying their BBQ. The chicken is very good. It was tender and full of flavor. The pork sandwich was a nice reminder of what Porky's Place used to offer. The sides were all good, but the corn bread stole the show. We will definitely eat here again.
