I came here on august 21 around 7:40 and the cashier was a lady named Lorena T. ( name on receipt). She was very rude not only to me but to the elderly man in front of me. When he was paying he took the card out to early and she very rudely told him “ESPÉRESE.” He even asked her after if she was mad which she responded no still with an attitude. I understand being tired but this is still a job and it’s not other peoples fault where you have to take it out on them. When I was ordering she asked if there was anything else and as I telling her the rest of my order she went on her phone in front of me and asked me to repeat my order. It’s ridiculous that she would ask for my order then proceed to completely ignore me or get distracted by her phone. I even asked her for the price of the flautas and she said she didn’t know. I was honestly in shock because the previous person had also asked for a price on some tacos de buche which they had a sign for and she said “it’s not on the paper” as if it was so much work to remember especially something they have advertised you’d think she’d be informed. The last thing for me was 2 lady’s that came in that had ordered ahead which Lorena T. was very kind to. They were white and did speak english while the elderly man and I had ordered in spanish of course. I don’t want to make this a racist thing but that’s how it seemed when she was extremely kind to them with smiles and very rude and with an attitude to me. I enjoyed the food before but I honestly don’t think I could come back here based on my...
Read moreA GOOD BRUNCH SPOT.. with yummy chilaquiles! I was craving my Mexican comfort food and brunch staple, chilaquiles! I'm happy to say that Taqueria Rancho Grande delivered, as they usually do. This is my first time trying breakfast here and I'm very pleased! My chilaquiles had a nice crispness to them and the eggs, beans, and sour cream paired nicely with my meal. The chilaquiles had a mild kick, not too crazy.
I usually grab a chile verde burrito or other wet burrito here as everything on the menu is tried and true. However, I think I'm going to come here more often for breakfast. I came on a late Sunday morning and stayed into the afternoon, it's a great place to hang with friends! It wasn't extremely busy, but there was definitely a nice, lovely atmosphere. Things definitely kicked up when my party left, loads of people bustled in!
The girl at the register was pretty good, she had solid customer service skills. My food came out lighting fast. I was shocked with the fast service, i definitely appreciated it as I was starving haha. As for cleanliness, the restaurant is spotless. The salsa bar was well-kept and the floors were constantly being mopped.
There's plenty of seating in this taqueria. I saw booths and tables scattered across. I would recommend coming with parties of no more than six people as space is somewhat limited. My large party made due and sat in closeby tables, if you don't mind sitting separately you'll be fine. We didn't mind at all and we...
Read moreAmazing food! Walk in and get greeted by the girls (cashier's) and wait in line to order. Once you order they give chips and salsa to wait and salsa cups with foil paper for lemons. We order the taco special, which is 4 tacos and a drink, as well we ordered the chicken taquitos(rolled fried tacos). You get 2 choices of meat for your tacos. The tacos are street size, double tortilla, great amount of meat, comes with onions, cilantro and salasa. I order carnitas and asada; the carnitas were juicy but NOT to the point that they made my tortilla soggy like other places, they had great flavor, slight crunchy tips (which i love) and great color. The asada had great seasoning, not dry, and cook to perfection; with the salsa on top it made it juicy and it intense the flavor of the meat. The taquitos come with home made guacamole, lettuce and cheese. I order mine with no cheese and guac on the side. They were crunchy, juicy and flavorful! The guac had cut tomatoes, dices onion and cilantro in it that was bomb! I highly recommend trying this place out!! Their chef yesterday was great! (I added lettuce to one of my tacos by grabbing it off...
